My original point was that a new league presented a new opportunity to get it right. So why would pick a guy whose most memorable game quote was "I make it up as I go" .
-
Why is that regardless of the league restructure UND is stuck with substandard officiating. Even the ECAC hired an ex NHL official Stewart as their Referee in Chief and Kerry Fraser attends ECAC games and offers advice to their officials in between periods per the article at the link: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=444799

And just when some of you thought this thread couldn't get any worse...........right on cue...............!

You can't blame all of this on Kane. What has happened to the "One Move Wonder" yet again, who based on the pool play was an early favourite for forward of the tournament.. At all levels he has pumped in all kinds of goals against the likes of Norway and Austria but as soon as any hardware is on the line he pulls a Holy Cross. Bylsma had the luxury of last change both today and yesterday and why he chooses to play his leading scorer against the best checkers on the other teams is beyond me. Toews certainly knew how to neutralize him.

I am not sure if this was posted anywhere already but I think the TSN Power Rankings of NCAA players at the link are another indicator of the 12-13 team's woes. Not a single D-man and neither Goalie made the top 100. I also agree with the comment from Sagard that this team lacked sandpaper players at the forward positions and that skill alone won't get it done. Now if TSN could just learn how to spell Dakota http://www.tsn.ca/fa...ature/?ID=14848

I can't stand Denver but you can tell that no one on the ice knew what happened regarding the Shore hit and they used the video replay to cover their behinds. Very Mickey Mouse.

Someone must have kicked the old trash can during the intermission. -
I am one for one in the bracket but that was the easiest of all the games to predict. It never would have reached OT without the world class dive.

Travis Roche added a Spengler Cup Medal to his collection this morning as Canada defeated Davos 7-2 in the final. Thanks to Bettman and Fehr both lineups were loaded with NHLers, with Thornton and Kane as two of the Davos forwards.

The weekend is now complete with a visit from the Dasher Dancer. Too bad he wasn't wearing his little white gloves.
-
No replay but I think it went straight in.
-
No this is just the preliminary round so Dressler needs to win to advance.
-
Go to the link and vote for Dressler to get the CFL Play of the Year. http://www.tsn.ca/showdown/cfl/2012/

Hate to pin it on anyone but that faceoff in the zone wouldn't have happened if Gleason had just cleared the puck when he had the chance.
-
Someone needs to explain to the Nancy Boys that the European crap only works in Hockey East or if you play for the Gophers.
-
So they took their Ollie the D-Man out of the lineup to avoid the Big Mac Attack that awaited him. It is always nice when the Sioux can dictate the other team's starting lineup.
-
The Finn was in the trolley tracks and got what he deserved, a good clean open ice hit. Let's see if he tries that move again tonight.
-
Why no review by the refs, Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dumber. They would see that it was in before the whistle.
-
For those of you who like European hockey, this is what it is doing to our game. Turn a good clean hockey hit into I'll hold my head and he will get a major. Disgusting.

If anything, maybe I have lost my touch at trolling for trolls as I only managed to hook a couple of small fry that aren't even worth keeping. Oh well I guess I will have to go a little deeper to land some of the big old lunkers, if they are still lurking around. Perhaps all those years of peroxide and hairspray finally did some of them in.

There is one plain and simple truth, that this is all about the Don's desire to avoid GF. The Goofs media and fanbase has called for his head every time a sure bet season unravels against UND. Losses to BC will be more easily forgiven, for the next several years. I for one will miss the big blast of air that used to come whistling out of their over-inflated fanbase following a weekend against the Sioux. The excuses always made for some of the most interesting hockey reading I have ever seen.

So you are saying yesterday's game was kinda like playing Holy Cross. I understand.
-
So Rau went back into the lineup, which enabled your team to down mighty Canisius 1-0. Wow, how impressive.
