  1. LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
  2. Cornell must be the powerhouse of the East because the College Hockey Website writers inform us of this fact each and every season.
  3. That must have been Adams twin brother as referee. But seriously, for those of you who thought the TSN analysts were throwing up a smokescreen about how Canada would fare, it was there for all to see tonight. The young Canadian team struggled to defeat an older team of Swiss players who for the most part play in the Swiss Pro League. I hope they can at least medal for the fans in Vancouver.
  4. It is 4-2 Canada half way through the second. A clearing shot by a Swiss D-man shattered a glass and the game is currently held up.
  5. Chandler must have got confused as to which of his chat sites he was posting to. I don't think I want to know what other chat sites he visits .
  6. That has always been the way with international tournaments in Canada. The fans know who their main rivals are and they will cheer for the underdogs who play them to pull the upset. They will do the same for whoever is playing the Russians and likely the Czechs as well. Bourque's time in the AHL has sure improved his game, I guess he really didn't need an edumacation. Has anyone seen the plus/minus from the game, I am curious how Lee and Chorneys stats wound up.
  7. Although Toews didn't contribute on the scoreboard he played good positional hockey and threw a couple of great checks. TSN will air the Team USA game in another hour so hopefully it will at least get picked up by Center Ice in the US.
  8. Some people are obviously annoyed that I posted the details of the TSN special, especially the Skippies. Well too bad. My counter is that three talented Sioux players are on that team and when Canada isn't playing I will be cheering for them all the way. The story is relevant to this site because if bad chemistry undermines what should be a Gold Medal performance, at least Sioux fans will have the piece of mind that UND players weren't the reason. I say Oshie for tourney MVP.
  9. Lots of shots on net should do the trick as the Harvard goaltending hasn't always shown up.
  10. That is so true of any hockey team. There has been hatred and egos on Canadian teams in the past as well which is why todays coaches make it clear that those feelings need to be put aside. Miracle on Ice is a perfect example of hatred within a team and Brooks had to overcome it by making the players hate him instead. However, you are talking teenagers with only a few days to come together as a team so the coach, Kyle, has a challenge on his hands. The TSN analysts also believe that based on, his experiences, Kyle was a great pick for coach.
  11. Slappy, I can't help it that the sport of hockey doesn't get enough TV coverage in your area and that you have to depend on the internet as your accurate source of information . Clearly the TSN analysts had actually talked to someone from USA hockey because they also talked about the success stories of the US development program. It was pointed out that the intent was to have a group of the best players develop together like the Europeans do in order to succeed on the international stage. The development team plan backfired for this year group because of the aforementioned hatred that developed. Sorry that you aren't a happy slappy when your little Golden Rat doesn't get good press.
  12. Slappy you really are a dumb-#$%. Per my original post, it was a one hour special on TSN that ran from 6 to 7 Eastern time so why don't you email one of their analysts if you are looking for their source. Try either Maguire or MacKenzies messaging and ask them what they had to say about the US chemistry problem. Two names I recall them mentioning were Skille and Johnston and with Skille it went back to when they were teamates.
  13. I just watched a one hour special on TSN regarding the Tourney where they assessed how the teams will fare and players to watch. The analysts concluded that this is by far the most talented US team ever in the tourney and that the only thing standing in the way of certain Gold might be some chemistry problems. Apparently they have learned through reliable sources that several players on the team don't like Kessel I never would have guessed and I can't imagine why Oh and for all the Skippies out there the players they named were not from the Sioux.
  14. I believe that must be a prediciton because that game is scheduled for tonight.
  15. Two Goals for Toews in last nights 8-1 exhibition win over Russia. Without the contact and the clutch and grab of the WCHA Toews seems to be able to go to the net at will against the Europeans. Clearly he is a already one of the fan favorites. http://www.tsn.ca/world_jrs/news_story/?ID=148031&hubname=
  16. Would you leave your teams cash in a Best Western room? Although the story didn't say which Best Western, there are some definitely some areas of Chilliwack to avoid.
  17. Well now Skippy, 1. Whoever it was should be playing for the Golden Bongers 2. I had you pegged as someone who partakes of this activity on a daily basis so no surprise there. 3. If you hadn't been doing so much of number two you would have figured out by now that you are on the Sioux FAN site so off you go to GPL. 4. We aren't worried about your lack of intelligence either.
  18. Toews nets a goal in Canada's tune-up win over the Czechs last night. http://www.tsn.ca/world_jrs/news_story/?ID=147761&hubname=
  19. I do recall Hrkac for Canada too.
  20. Who would have thought that someone from BC would call a former Sioux a good friend. Cats and Dogs sleeping together but at least there isn't a Gopher in the equation.
  21. Combine this with the kind assessment in this weeks INCH rankings and one has to wonder if perhaps the site is trying to make up for one misguided article. Notwithstanding, Oshie has been the pleasant surprise story of this week and the Sioux season for that matter.
  22. According to this new TSN article 4-6 weeks. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=147557&hubname=
  23. It was announced on the Ottawa AM news that Bochenski suffered a separated right shoulder in Saturdays game. No word yet on how serious a separation or how long he will be out of the lineup.
  24. Bochenski had an awkward crash into the boards in the second period of his game and did not return. No update on his injury yet. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=147343&hubname=
  25. I think he already has to be in the running.
