You know picking Lee shows you that some of their decision making is based solely on the hype as clearly Chorney had the better freshman season on D. I doubt many of them even saw a Sioux game.

I wouldn't trade Toews for any other NCAA freshman either and I agree with your assessment. Which is why I am left wondering if the WCHA actually considered what Raymond meant to his team. It is why I concluded that they will also have to give Oshie the nod for overall ROY.

You stat doesn't capture that Raymond has played more games; however, even though I am a big Toews fan, I am not surprised because Raymond has been the Dogz most Oshie-like player this season. I have to admit I was impressed with his all-round play and tenacity. This selection might in fact be a good indicator that the WCHA has been looking at the complete picture and that they will do the right thing and give Oshie the ROY. What you have done for your team in a given season has to be a factor.

Or any opposing WCHA player with Smaby bearing down on him.

Wow I have to agree with you again. Oshie saved his best effort for the big games and was the one that looked best when the going got tough. Expect more of the same from him this weekend.

I recall a WCHA survey last year that ranked the Sioux Jersey #1 so place this one in the Trash bin.

I would vote that his confidence isn't there this season, maybe someone has the Stat but it at least seemed like he shot the puck more last season. He also has been the subject of alot more physical attention from the opposition this season too.
