  1. Regarding Finley, I have only ever seen the word doubtful used regarding an injury. Anything else would be given a more black and white assessment.
  2. Commodore may be sidelined with a cut near his eye. Mandatory visors has to be just around the corner. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/feature/?fid=10460&hubname=
  3. More importantly, Greene wasn't named a Captain with a cloud already hanging over his head, but then again he didn't play for the Blarney boys either.
  4. Hale is still sidelined by his eye injury. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/feature/?fid=10460&hubname=
  5. What amazes me is that within close to a week of Briggs being named a Captain he would receive a suspension for a team violation. More Goofy controversy to start another season.
  6. They only play Maine once as it is the Hall of fame game so the suspension is consecutive games.
  7. Great to read one of your recaps again. Thanks
  8. Did he forget to leave a tip at Blarneys
  9. And then there was that incredible face-off in the corner. No wait my bad. That wasn't hockey it was her time with the lepers.
  10. Remember that James Patrick had a pretty good run without smashing opponents, by handling the puck far better than any of his peers. Besides Radke, Finley and Jones have that part of the game covered.
  11. Just the type of rumour I wanted to go with my morning coffee.
  12. Toews and Oshie got their respect so I guess Lee will have to go out and earn it.
  13. Fifth Rk Team Points 1st Place Votes 2004-05 Record 1 Minnesota 78 (7) 28-15-1 2 Wisconsin 66 (1) 23-14-4 3 Denver 65 (1) 32-9-2 Colorado College 65 (1) 31-9-3 5 North Dakota 51 - 25-15-5 6 Minnesota Duluth 37 - 15-17-6 7 Minnesota State 35 - 13-19-6 8 Michigan Tech 20 - 8-25-4 9 St. Cloud State 19 - 14-23-3 10 Alaska Anchorage 14 - 12-19-6
  14. This poll confirms that it really is a toss up amongst the top three (all three got at least two 1st place votes) that will be decided on the ice. Again the remainder appear to be just about right.
  15. He is now 6'6" and he was playing center on the U17 team. I also located a more recent link for you. His scool team is All Saints and his City league team is the Guardsmen http://www.basketball.on.ca/site/index.cfm...=Page&ID=23
  16. And who is Scott Burnside? I'll bet he is at the top of the list when it comes to hockey analysts.
  17. It looks like they have been recruiting heavily in western Canada and I notice that they are the team that picked up Wong. However, other than Cashmen there isn't anyone in their lineup that should be capable of matching up against the UND roster.
  18. I don't know much about basketball and normally I stick to posting on the hockey chat, but if the basketball team is looking for some talent when they go D-1 then I suggest they check out Kyle Smendziuk of All-Saints here in Ottawa, Ontario. I work with Kyle's dad and he informed that his son wants to pursue pilot training in university. I told his dad about the UND Aerspace School and the kid was impressed with what he read online. Just do an online search on Kyle's name and you will see that he has been a factor both provincially and nationally. As a 16 year old he made Ontario's U-17 team and they won the Gold at this years national championships. Kyle shut down the 6'11" British Columbia center (Robert Sacre a Gonzaga recruit) in the final game. Anyone who knows the coaches or recruiters might want to pass this info along. http://www.hooplife.ca/forum/showthread.php?p=1598
  19. The TV feed claimed it was an experiment as a potential future change. It will be back to three officials for next weekends games.
  20. Greico's reach behind save with the paddle was impressive. Did anyone get a pic of it?
  21. You could put the top three teams in any order and after that I totally agree with rest of the list.
  22. Hale didn't play on the weekend due to an eye injury. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/feature/?fid=10460&hubname=
  23. Duncan with the prettiest goal of the night so far.
  24. They are still playing Manitoba's game.
  25. The Sioux need to stop playing the physical game with this overage former Major Junior players. Get back to the speed and skill guys.
