  1. Doubt it, but it could make it easier to go after Terra Strategies.
  2. The early season non-conference games sell themselves thanks to tailgating, that said we are playing a home and home with Montana so Gene knows he has to mix in a game or two with a solid opponent.
  3. I agree, an every other year game would work perfect for everyone. If the FCS had a 12 game schedule an every year game would also work out great.
  4. I think Kolpack only said that because it seems like neither school can get on the same page. Both GT and Faison keep saying they are talking about it and nothing ever seems to get accomplished. I do disagree with Kolpack, the game will happen. People do want the game to be played and I think both AD's are aware of that.
  5. NDSU's scheduling strategy is to play a regional FBS and have six home games, tell me how a yearly rivalry game achieves either of those needs? GT offered every other year, if that isn't good enough for Faison I think GT is right in telling him to go pound sand. Our non conference schedule doesn't need to revolve around one school.
  6. I will never try to defend what lakes does on the internet, he has sent me some questionable PMs for just calling UND our rival. Not sure what UND did to him but it sends him completely over the edge.
  7. The only times I've ever seen lakes at a game was at SDSU and Montana State, he was well behaved each time but I have heard that he can get carried away at times. As for message boards, who cares. There are some NDSU fans who have just made it their lifes mission to be a troll, which is a rather sad and pathetic use of one's time but it is their time to waste I guess.
  8. Bison fans have been getting rave reviews since joining the FCS, even lakes was mentioned in a newspaper article about how classy he was at the Montana State playoff game. You need to get out more and stop framing your views using message boards.
  9. You are completely clueless but please continue making mole hills into mountains.
  10. I didn't say that, I said he would only leave if offered the right opportunity. I think jobs like NDSU, Montana, App State are better than a lot of the lower level FBS jobs and I also think that is something Bohl has realized.
  11. Unless a BCS job opens up I doubt Bohl goes anywhere. BCS level jobs don't usually hire FCS coaches, especially FCS coaches from North Dakota. Bohl probably could have had a number of lower level FBS jobs but I don't think he wants to deal with coaching at school that lacks the needed support to win at a high level.
  12. You guys played well enough to win against an FBS team(in fact I'm sure many FCS schools would love to be in your shoes), sure your defense struggled but that is nothing to be ashamed of as long as your team uses it as motivation to get better.
  13. I've never gotten a minor, some of friends in high school and college had one or two. Nobody went to jail. There was a player on NDSU's team that had three MIPs in like 2008, he was suspended for a month from the team but again he didn't go to jail...I think he just had to do so many hours of community service and a fine. Beck will probably get something like 40 hours of community service and a fine.
  14. Jail time for a second MIP...I highly doubt it.
  15. If it was just a minor in the offseason, not a big deal. Resisting arrest is obviously a bit more serious.
  16. If he stays out of trouble this offense might not even be on his record when he is drafted. From a legal perspective it is minor, sorry to burst your bubble but NFL execs are more worried about things like drugs, DUIs, assault charges, rape allegations, etc. This was a kid being lazy and stupid, what he did was wrong but it won't be anything he has to worry about in regards to the NFL. You people on this board have completely blown this out of proportion, that said I can't blame you too much because if the tables were turned the same thing would be happening at Bisonville.
  17. What exactly is wrong with his background besides this on incident? Enlighten me......
  18. I would sat them for them for half of the RMU game(Ojuri the entire game) and moved on. There is my opinion, I agree that our response to this hasn't been great. I do however think that Bohl, Taylor and Bresciani have ethics and want the football program and school to operate in an ethical manner. One mishandled issue won't shake my confidence in their leadership.
  19. What's I-AA football?
  20. I hate to break it to you but not a lot of people want to stand outside and talk people into signing petitions for $9 an hour. Its the typical summer job for college students.
  21. Just to do it you would need to get a number of college presidents on board, which is complicated by itself. Then there would be Lawsuits, politicians would no doubt be involved, and there would be lots of anger(especially since it would mean March Madness is dead). They could make millions or lose millions depending on how it would all play out, it would be a huge gamble that I doubt any college president would do unless the status quo is greatly changed. That said I do think some changes are coming to college football. Once you start a playoff it will only grow in number, the bigger schools don't want to share that money so they'll try to squeeze as many schools out of the highest tier as possible.
  22. Leaving the NCAA would be very complicated for the major schools, I don't see it happening. That said I think this three tier idea could come to fruition if the major schools want it to happen enough.
  23. Darell my point which you don't seem to grasp is that I and many NDSU fans don't care if we will never win a NC in men's basketball. We want to compete at the highest level, that is why we went DI in the first place. I'll take losing by 10 to Kansas in round one of the NCAA tournament anyday over winning a second tier title. There are many Olympians who no doubt consider just qualifying for the games to be a major accomplishment, everyone wants to win but the whole experience is also worth something. March Madness offers a similar experience.
  24. No Darell everything you have typed in this thread can qualify for the dumbest thing I have ever read. The Olympian comment is the most absurd thing I have ever read. No Olympian would share that view, those people bust their ass to represent their country and compete at the highest level in their respective sport. As for March Madness, there was a group of players on NDSU's team that gave up four years of having a shot to compete in the postseason just so they could have one shot to compete in the big dance. I think that speaks for itself.
  25. It isn't all about winning an NC, it is about competing on the highest level. Unless your school has been a part of it you just can't comment about it. There are many schools in each division that have a small chance to win a NC, should we create 8 divisions so they all can have a reasonable shot?
