  10. Don't forget about "we fell in love with the jump shot" and "stay the course".......
  11. Sac is shooting 58% to our 31%. We have 8 turnovers and they have 2. We've missed several layups.....

  13. In other Big Sky action that features two fundamentally sound teams, the Griz are up by 10 on Weber. Would be beneficial to us for Weber to win that game.....

  18. This is a recruiting thread, not a scheduling thread.
  19. Getting way off topic. This thread is about recruiting. Discuss that.
  20. He's one of the most successful coaches they've ever had there. Just got an extension. He will surpass both Kill and Dempsey in wins after two more seasons.
  21. I wince a little bit when I think about what attendance numbers would be for North Dakota football games if the fan base were aware that the ultimate goal for the program is to get berth to the Dandelion Bowl.
  22. Was at the game, and it was a fun game to be at. Nice to get the win, it was surely needed, and I'm positive about the fact they held on for the win in a critical game. Having said that, this game was a perfect example of what I've described as the schizophrenic nature of this team. Up 10 in the first, then allow the Griz to go on 16-1 run, then build a double digit lead again, and have to hang on for the 5 point win. I never really got the feeling that the game was in hand until there was well under 1 minute left. That's where the frustration sets in for me. This is supposed to be the best team of the DI era, and we were beaten handily once on the road, and "sneaked out" a win at home against a Griz team that is no where near as good as they were the previous two seasons. But, hopefully what has happened in the past will continue this year, in that Jones will have these guys getting better as we close in on March.
  23. It has now been 19 years since this program last won a regular season conference championship, the longest drought by a WIDE margin for what was once a storied basketball program.
  24. Jones isn't in danger of losing his job any time soon. What really bothers me though is the schizophrenic nature of his teams. I was a huge Rich Glas supporter for about 15 years, then I wanted him gone badly for the last 5 years or so. What is the biggest difference between Glas' teams toward the end of his tenure and Jones' teams? The answer is fundamentals. IMO, Glas got lazy as a recruiter toward the end of his run. His teams lacked talent the last few years. But they played hard, they knew their roles, and they did the little things to remain competetive. Jones' teams are a polar opposite. They have oodles of talent and athleticism, but they are undisciplined, unfocused, and seem unwilling to do the little things that won't provide highlights on the nightly sports clips. I grew tired of the Rich Glas era because I was sick of .500 basketball year in and year out. 8 years later we are still watching .500 basketball.
  25. They lost.....
