I see that site has a few ESPNU & CSTV Logo's scattered throughout. Does that mean that they are sure of a few games they will televise, not all, or have ESPNU adn CSTV just cut way back on covering college hockey?

UND's official position was that competing against NDSU's teams with heavy scholarship advantages would not be beneficial to UND's student athletes. In 2003, when NDSU wanted to schedule fb games with, UND declined due to the negative playoff implications tied to playing out-of-division opponents. That was UND's official position. In retaliation, NDSU pulled the plug on baseball games that the two universities had agreed to play for multiple years after NDSU reclassified. Two years later, UND's athletic director proposed renewing the football rivalry. Gene Taylor's official position was quoted in the Forum and read "they've made they're bed, now they have to sleep in it." It is my opinion that NDSU's administration is the one that as behaved in a deplorable manner.

This isn't a "meeting alumni" story, but last January I was on the island of Curaco just off the coast of Venezuela. I was obviously wearing my "UND Hockey: 7 Times National Champion" hat, and a guy came up to me and said in a heavy Boston accent, "Your squad gonna have a good team this year"? I looked up and saw his BC hat and said "of course". He said "yeah, the Sioux always give us fits!". UND is worldwide, whether it be alumni, fans, or just people that know about us (who we give fits! ).

On Sioux sports weekly, Lennon said that he just took a really hit and was sore, but it was nothing major. I sure hope it didn't/doesn't turn out to be something more severe.

The Oregon-Oklahoma FB game was running late on ABC. I assume that is why there was no audio from the announcers, they knew the only person watching was Iceberg! As son as the National ABC game was over, the NDSU game came on and the announcers began to speak.

WDAZ gets alot more practice at doing live telecasts. It isn't very often that anything worth broadcasting originates from Fargo!

Whaddaya mean................"challenging"?

The thing that concerns me about the running game is that Reed Manke is UND's leading rusher this season. That would be fine if UND were an option team, but we are not. If we keep winning 49-2 with our QB as the leading rusher, that is fine and dandy. But I think we need to establish a rushing game that has a running back carrying the ball behind an offensive line that is getting alot of "push" when we start playing teams like South Dakota, UN-Omaha, and Duluth.

Is that the final? That would be something if we beat a I-AA team and a team that also beat a I-AA team this year. Eastern Washington is perennially the the second or third best Big Sky school in the conference each year.

I think Toews will lead the team in scoring. He was just on fire the last few weeks last year. I think he is delaying his NHL career so that he can do something special in college (i.e. lead the nation in scoring, win the Hobey Baker, and hoist a Nat'l Championship trophy) Jones will easily lead in PIM. I like his intensity, but he plays 50% solid and 50% stupid. Too emotional. I don't know much about the rookies, but I think Forney has had too many injury problems and Zajac won't wanna go down in Sioux history as Travis' little brother so I picked him.

Not to be negative, but we were really clicking in week three last year too. Then UNO came to town in week 10....... I hope we are not peaking too soon.
