  1. University of Montana football versus Portland St. will again be on the same transponder as the FSSN this weekend. Game time is 8:00 central. Same Coordinates as last week: 12044 v 6148 Good time and place to make sure your dish is pointed correctly!
  2. I'm looking for tickets for the following Saturday night hockey games. Generally looking for 2 tickets to each game, but would like to find 4 tickets for a couple of them. Sat. Nov. 25 vs. Colorado College Sat. Dec. 9 vs. Wisconsin Sat. Dec. 16 vs. Michigan Tech Sat. Jan. 13 vs. Alaska Anchorage Sat. Feb. 10 vs. Minnesota St.-Mankato I'd prefer to find seats in the lower-bowl or in the first 2 rows of the upper bowl. Offering $30/ticket for seats in rows A-K of the lower bowl. pm or email: jci@invisimax.com
  3. Also from the Bison Blog (I should really read the whole thing before I post ) Glad to see he finally found that out! The day that NDSU was officially invited into the Mid-Con, he said on WDAY's morning radio show that most Mid-Con schools play football in the Gateway!
  4. The following is also a brilliant observation by Mr. Hallstrom from the afore-mentioned blog.
  5. Here's an opinon piece from the Yankton Press & Dakotan
  6. I've been thinking the same thing about Strouth. I wonder if he might be more effective if he became more of third-down back or utilized more as a pass-catcher out of the backfield. He has good hands.
  7. Remember when JBB was put on "probation" at Bisonville.com because he couldn't stop talking about UND?! *Rolling On Floor, Laughing My aff Off!*
  8. After reading this post, I'm sure that "Holdem" is either JBB or his most recent protege.
  9. I have high-speed internet, but I've been having alot of trouble with the DII football webcasts on CSTV.com
  10. My county newspaper had a big write-up about the local high-school football team this weekend. Nothing about NDSU, though. Like Lefty and DakotaDan said, nobody here is shocked that NDSU's hometown newspaper has alot of coverage about NDSU football during football season, especially when they just beat a IA football team.
  11. Nice win NDSU and congratulations to the Bison and their fans. Way to do your state proud!
  12. A win is a win is a win. A change in QB could have been a factor, but this is not the same WWU team as last season. They've already beaten a ranked opponent (Washburn), and they played damn good against another one today. They have an excellent QB. Attendance was 9,007
  13. Hellevang hits his first career FG. Someone take the monkey off his back. UND 23 WWU 20
  14. Chappell is good, excellent way to start the second half. Tied at 20
  15. Can Freund play defense? Cause that is the problem right now.
  16. Really? Since Fargo is such a hotbed for college athletics and it is the most covered sports market in the state, how many college football games played in Fargo were televised last year? Zero. How many college basketball games played in Fargo were televised last year? Zero. But there were about 30 college sporting events televised from Grand Forks last year. What were you saying about the most covered sports market in the state again?
  17. That's funny. The most visible "big-time" DI sport in North Dakota hasn't had NDSU on the schedule since, what, the 1930's?
  18. That's right, but for anyone who lives out of the region the sportspak will give you the main FSN North and the alternate. Here is what you can regularly expect to find on FTA.........Thanks Iceberg!
  19. This entire thread makes me laugh my aff off!
  20. I've enjoyed going to the Bemidji games the last couple years. They're fans travel well so it makes a nice atmosphere, and they are a quality team. They're SSI should be pretty good this year I'd say.
  21. What kind of satellite do you have? Iceberg, I think, is referring to Free-To-Air satellite that picks up all kinds of different "feeds". Wisconsin away games happen to be one of those feeds that it picks up. It isn't really on a specific channel you would look for, but you would have to scan for it. It is different than DirecTV or Dish Network and takes different equipment, which Joe Sensors and alot of sports bars around the country do have. If you have DirectTV satellite in your home and subscribe to the "SportsPak", there are 7 sioux games that will definately be carried on that system this year. The series at Wisconsin, the series in GF against Wisconsin, the series at Minnesota, and the Friday game at Denver. They are all on regional Fox Sports Net channels that you get with the "SportsPak". I don't know for sure but I believe Dish Network has a similar package that will give you the same thing, however it could be just the Minnesota and Denver games. If you have a Free-To-Air system, you could possibly get all of these games, a few others, plus every UND home game for sure.

    Reed Manke

Belmore has proven that he can be effective, but has also proven to do other wise in big games (i.e. UNO, USD, even the UMD playoff game last year). I expect he'll do fine against Western Washington. I was never big on Belmore, but at the beginning of last season I preferred him to Manke. Having said that, I preferred Manke at the end of last year and still do today, obviously, he's been outstanding. But I doubt that any NCC team can boast about having a back-up the caliber of Belmore. He's had 20-some odd starts in his career and is in the Top 10 all time for UND Completion %, completions, attempts, yards, & TD passes. He has experience. Having said that, I hope that Freund gets a series here and there. And if Belmore does struggle, the coaches need to have a short leash on him and give Freund the chance to show what he can do. He is the guy that will probably be leading this team in '07 & '08.
  23. The coordinates are the same tomorrow for Montana as the ones Iceberg posted above. I'd guess that is where they'll be all season, they stayed in the same spot last year. Game starts at 2:00 central time. Like Iceberg said, good time to make sure your dish is working right. First FSSN game is a week away!
  24. It will not be on the Fighting Sioux Sports Network. No away games this year. I have DirecTV sportspak that is how I get FSN alternate which is the Wisconsin version of Fox Sports North. It is only on when Wisconsin is playing. I don't know if Sensors can get this or not. If they have the Sportspak they should be able to get it. But I think there are rules that bars must follow when showing out-of-market games. You'd have to check with them to find out for sure.
