The show was definately better when Dubay was a part of it. I think listeners will really notice his absence now when the NFL season comes to a close, and we head into Twins talk.

82 North Dakota 59 Mayville St. Final Nice to see the team perform like they should be expected to against a DAC team. Should be a good experience going into South Dakota this weekend. UND took charge in the second half. As much as we talk about this teams struggles this season, the coaching staff really has seemed to make quality adjustments at halftime in the majority of the games that they have played this season.

Everyone on the active roster has scored tonight.

Sioux have actually had the full court press on fairly often tonight. Something I've always wondered why they don't do more of. I'd like to see more of it.

Hardee to Take Over UND Program

I'm no recruiting guru, and sorry if this has been mentioned in the past, but apparently Nate Wolters of St.Cloud has an offer from UND. Also has offers from USD and SDSU. Also, just an update on recruit Chris Clausen, he's averaging 14 points and 8 rebounds this season for North Iowa Community College.

Yes they are. I brought it up just to point out that as a fan, I can get excited when the hockey team beats a rather lack-luster opponent. I can also get excited when the basketball team beats a rather lack-luster opponent. It just frustrates me that some seem to feel the need to rip on the basketball team and coaching staff for not destroying any non-DI teams we play. I will definately concede that we should not struggle like we have against DAC schools. Their play in those games has been extremely frustrating. Of course I would like to see the team dominate Valley City or Minot, but the bottom line is the team is winning these non-DI games, albeit in ugly fashion. If the argument is UND is DI, so they should destroy Mary, I think alot of factors are being ignored. Like the fact that UND has been DI for about 3 months, not 60 years.

I'm excited because a win is a win. And it was an entertaining game. Sure, it was Mary, but it is not like UND has been a DI power that has fallen on hard times. We were in the same division as Mary last year. Right now we are a DI team with mostly DII players. Yet we've played well against a couple of DI opponents, and beaten every non-DI team except Southwest St., and they are a pretty quality team from maybe the best conference in DII. The same conference that Mary plays in. In reality, this team is right where I thought it would be at this point. And that is pretty good considering we lost our two best overall players from the last two seasons and our most effective post player. I admit I also get very frustrated by the Jeckyl & Hyde syndrome that seems to plague this team. Beat DI UMKC in the opener on the road, then lose at home to an NSIC. Then give high-major Texas A&M all that they want, but that performance is sandwiched between OT games with Minot and Mary. But really, why can't we get excited when the basketball team beats Mary? We get excited when the hockey team eeks past Bemidji in OT.

We've already heard this from a contributor to the board, but Wayne Nelson confirms that Northern Iowa will be in GF next year: Wayne also says that we're going to visit Texas A&M again next season. Tentatively. Anyone who visits the football forum knows to take that word with a grain of salt. So here is what we think we know: @ Montana tournament @ Drake Tournament @ Iowa State Tournament @ South Dakota @ Chicago State @ NJIT @ UT-Pan American @ Houston Baptist @ Utah Valley @ Texas A&M vs. South Dakota vs. Chicago State vs. NJIT vs. UT-Pan American vs. Houston Baptist vs. Utah Valley vs. Northern Iowa I would think that it is a good bet that Northern Colorado and UMKC will be in Grand Forks as well next year. I would also think that the Great West tournament will be set up similar to the old NCC tourney where the number 1 seed gets a bye, so there will be at least one playoff game. Or I suppose there could be a play-in game.
