I find it interesting that Dale mentioned Montana and Montana St. and wanting to play them. Didn't say to much about the neighbors to the south. Makes one wonder if deals are being made. I think plastic surgery may be needed to wipe the smiles of Dale's and Tom's faces.. I am happy we are heading down the D1 road, know if the hockey team can get us to a few more Frozen Fours...

A sort of put your money where your mouth is... I like it!! Imagine the NCAA and money that would or could be lost!!! The down side is the kids. They deserve everything they worked for to get to a championship game. Unless the students wore their jerseys on their own.... I would feel like the NC$$ and how they are treating the students like pawns.

Hold on a minute. Didn't some of the survey questions ask if we wouldn't mind paying higher ticket prices should we be in a league with Montana, Montana St. etc...?? IMHO,the BSC would really like to link themselves with say a name that plays D1 sports and make championship games. We play Denver,Minnesota, Wisconsin all D1 schools in hockey. Surely DU must play UNC? Anywhere you can put it in the headlines that a member of YOUR league beat another is all good. Small scale example NSIC vs NCC. Before Duluth joined the NCC you could pick up a paper in Duluth and if the Bulldogs beat North or South Dakota those are headlines and now with internet one more way to promote YOUR team and league. I don't think it's all bad that NDSU makes it into the BSC. By looking at it from the outside it seems a few teams have come and gone in the BSC. Sooner or later UND and probably SDSU will be asked. Until then I don't mind being a major power in D2 like the Lakers of Grand Valley. Wouldn't it be interesting if the BSC wants UND and NDSU is a member? UND would be just like the bratty brother noone wants to have around but always seems to get all the attention.

I would like to say I will miss John deeply he was a very special person. I met John over 10 yrs ago and we became instant friends. His wife Terry and family are great. I will miss going on "scouting missions" to Fargo to see future UND stars. John had a passion for UND hockey and anyone who bid against John on Ebay know this also. It was an honor to know such a great man! Good-Bye John until we see each other at the next hockey game in the sky.. Proud to be a Sioux fan!! (#4)

I think UND could help to sway the Big Sky to split the division. You can't tell me Montana (Big Sky) wouldn't like to be linked to Minnesota and Wisconsin (Big Ten) by playing say UND sometime in the future if UND played Minnesota at their new stadium. Kevin Bacon's "degree of seperation" I think applies here. UNI is a prime example. No one from UND is talking about UND playing football there but Craig had a nice link to the Panther board. Hmmm who do we know at UNI hmmmm...

Start rant here------> UND has the NCAA right where they want them. IMHO Anti-trust practices by the NC$$ are going to be the down fall of the NCAA. I seen the interview on WDAZ and the idiot from the NCAA keeps saying "mascot" when talking about UND hello there is NO mascot at UND... 82SiouxGuy, I think you hit the nail on the head. "if the AG gets involved since it is a North Dakota institution." This just screams "States Rights" Vs NCAA. This is not an issue like the Stars and Bars problem they had in the south. Mainly when you have a judicial committee member of the Standing Rock sending letters of support. Is it up to the NCAA to say, Mr. Fool Bear what you seen at the UND vs MINN hockey game really was hostile and abusive?? Starting to sound like a few people at UND, M-Ketterling, L. Does anyone know what UND lost in $$$ because it wasn't D-1 in all sports when it came to the Frozen Four for the last two years?? Not that we should bank on being there every year however BC, Maine, and Wisc this year all shared in the $$$ made from the Frozen Four while UND was "frozen" out. The $$$ sure would help pay for the women's hockey team that seems to be sucking away alot of $$. This is not a knock on the women's team but maybe it's either time to cut seat prices( to get more fans) for women's hockey games or the budget "axe" may have to fall.

You are probably correct. How boring! Yawn! I think We/UND should wear blank jersey's!(for any tournaments away from UND) Is there a rule a team must have lettering or a logo? I wonder how the NCAA could make any $$$ off a blank jersey?
