Well, the Pioneers were winning, and the Sioux were losing, so that could be why the trash talking was a little more lop-sided. I mean, how much crap can you talk if you are losing by 5 goals. It might have gone VERY differently if the Sioux were winning by 5 goals.

Hello, are we talking about the same school here? When I was in college, my close friend went to Wisconsin and I went to Illinois. The years I had a car, I went up to the UMD-Badgers series. I sat right above the student section, and really, I've never seen so many people who know so little about hockey pretending that they know things about hockey. And they were TOTAL jerks to me, even last year when I was relatively quiet because we sucked and I didn't expect to win. Who was it on this board who said they don't like Wisconsin hockey fans because they like anything related to Wisconsin, not because they are hockey fans? Because they were right.

Agreed, some of the swearing comes from me. Yes, I have a potty mouth. I am the girl whose father got tickets in the next section when we met up in Wisconsin because he didn't want to be associated with what I might say (although I was pretty restrained that game, since we won.) I even had a little problem with swearing on this here message board when I first started posting. I'm not that bad anymore, but I have plenty of insight into the mind of a foul-mouthed fan. Well, one kind of foul-mouthed fan. I can't claim to understand the crabby old fans that curse at the refs, but they're old, so what can you do? But I guess I didn't really care what other people around me thought. Like, anyone who would be offended by swearing was a huge loser and totally lame. Sadly, the only real cure for this is getting older and wiser. And sober.

I won't be there this weekend, but next weekend I'll be there!

That's kind of what I was thinking. Finley wasn't even there, he probably doesn't even know Robbie all that well, just because he's the biggest doesn't mean he's the best choice. If anyone was going to do anything I would put some money on Smaby, but I don't want to see a fight. Good, hard, physical play, I've got nothing against that.
