  1. That’s sloppy, Joe. Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden reprised his penchant for borrowing lines from other people’s work this week — apparently relying a bit too heavily on the words of a deceased Canuck party leader during his acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention, reports said. Biden concluded his Thursday night speech by saying: “For love is more powerful than hate. Hope is more powerful than fear. Light is more powerful than dark.” But Canadian media quickly noted that the former veep’s words were uncannily similar to those of Jack Layton, the leader of Canada’s left-wing New Democratic Party, who issued a poignant open letter to his fellow citizens as he lay dying of cancer nine years ago Saturday, on Aug. 22, 2011. “My friends,” Layton wrote, “Love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair.” https://nypost.com/2020/08/22/joe-biden-faces-plagiarism-claim-over-dnc-acceptance-speech/
  2. A swarm of Black Lives Matter activists stormed a Seattle neighborhood to demand that the current residents “get the f*** out” and “give black people back their homes” as reparations, according to Breitbart News. A live stream video on ConcreteReporting.com revealed a large group of activists harassing local residents as they marched through a residential neighborhood pounding drums, flashing lights on windows, yelling through loudspeakers, and demanding that residents give up their homes. “Get the f*** out so we can come back!” one activist yelled. “All y’all white motherf***ers get the f*** out of our neighborhoods so we can come back!” https://www.breakingreports.org/blm-activists-storm-neighborhood-in-seattle-demand-residents-get-the-f-out-open-your-purse/L
  3. Exactly but I was told they are peaceful
  4. 3 goal lease. Worse lead in hockey
  5. To bad that version of Berrios doesn’t stick around for long. I’ll keep my optimism down until I see it for 3-4 more starts
  6. Ah that’s why no change was made
  7. Caps go down with a whimper. Talk about an unenthusiastic effort. Gotta think coach Todd Reirden Is done. 2 years in a row done after round one. Trotz sends the team he won a Cup with home. He’s gotta feel pretty damn good about that
  8. Caps look uninterested tonight. This game is a snoozefest
  9. In the Rasmussen Poll, President Trump’s approval stood at 47% yesterday – but made an incredible four percentage point leap this morning to 51%. When I reached out to Rasmussen to confirm that the sampling for today’s poll wasn’t taken before the DNC began to air, they said the polling data was being accumulated as the DNC speeches were ongoing. In other words, it is likely that some people were being directly influenced by the DNC – albeit not in favor of any Democrats. Obama also spoke last night and blasted Trump for not taking the presidency seriously – but Obama’s approval was two percentage points lower than Trump’s was at this exact same point in their respective presidencies https://bongino.com/trump-approval-surges-during-dnc
  10. Game 6 is going to be interesting. That game was physical and nasty and I’ll miss it as I’ll be on the ice playing some pickup puck
  11. Philly ties it up at 3 halfway thru the third and the Habs go ahead 20 seconds later to go up 4-3
  12. That was a crazy period with the Habs and Flyers. Hart was going to get pulled after the Habs 4th goal only to be put back in as it was ruled offsides after review
