  1. You can avoid the ticket master fees if you buy thru the Xcel Centers Minnesota Hockey group ticket sales office at the link below. You pay a $10 fee for as many tickets you want to buy (instead of the per ticket fees of ticket master). http://www.minnesotahockey.org/news/news.asp?ID=198
  2. Please dont start this again. Anyone who wants to discuss this, please search the last 5 years on this topic and reread.
  3. FCS has these games on tonight. (The FSN locals will carry also) Sat. 01/31/09 07:00 PM FCS Central Minnesota State Minnesota 07:30 PM FCS Pacific Notre Dame Michigan 09:00 PM FCS Central Alaska-Anchorage Denver
  4. Low on beer. Please send supplies. Come on over, the wife is out with friends.
  5. Can one of the FTA satellite experts find the Gopher vs Mankato game on tonight? In the past the feed was available without the commercials from Mankato.
  6. College Hockey Live has the TV info. Note(s): Charter Communications
  7. In Chicago you would have these options: 1) Fox College Sports channels (a few games per year) 2) NHL Network channel (a couple games per year) 3) Buy a FTA satellite system for $200 and watch all the Sioux home games (best option for seeing the most games) 4) Find a bar with a FTA satellite that will tune the games in for you. Then post on SiouxSports.com which bar will be showing the games so you have some other sioux fans to watch with. 5) Buy the online video webcasts. Not as good picture as satellite but pretty good. You can buy adapters to put the video on your TV instead of watching the computer screen. You can see what games are on which channels here: College Hockey Live
  8. Looks like the SCSU series is on Charter Mainstreet cable next weekend in Minnesota. http://www.collegehockeylive.com/men/d1/te...rth-dakota.aspx

    Jerseys

I found an XXL Sioux Jersey on craigslist, made by Gemini. I would buy it but only need an XL. http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/spo/957060883.html

    Jeff Dubay

This is terrible to hear. He is a nice guy and is a media ambassador for college hockey. He is the only one on FoxSports worth listening to.
  11. Yep. The Bloomingtom location will have the most Sioux fans. I owe you a beer or two, since you saved me at least a hundred dollars in hotel charges in Madison.
  12. what days of travel, and when did you book them?
  13. It looks like LODO is actually the NorthWest part of downtown, the blocks between Pepsi Center and Coors Field, NOT South(LOwer).
  14. At the Milwaukee Frozen4 I had extra tickets and gave them away before the game. There were kids running around with dozens of tickets that people had just given them becuase no one would buy them. The Badgers were in that tourney. The locals in Denver will just not attend these games, so tickets will be easy to get, but most likely upper level.
  15. Any suggestions on where to eat and what to do in Madison while waiting for the games? When I was there this fall I was really impressed with the architecture of the German style student union: Der Rathskeller, Memorial Union, 800 Langdon St. Madison, WI 53706 website / map The Plaza Tavern was pretty cool. It is sort of like "Whitey's" (Old school, very busy at night). http://www.theplazatavern.com/menu.html
  16. An hour to go until I escape and begin the party in downtown St Paul. This weekend is great every year, but the beer drinking catches up with me by Saturday. Better buy some Red Bull to keep the energy level up for the SS vs POI game on Sunday.
  17. Some more Party America options:
  18. The SOL channel. I don't think it is on DISH. The cable companies made arrangements to show some of the mankato, scsu, and umd games.
  19. For those in the Twin Cities with Comcast, the game MAY be on channel 23 (Minneapolis). Comcast has been putting the Charter Mainstreet games on a shopping channel. The UMD TV schedule shows a mainstreet broadcast.
  20. The UND @ Mankato series from a couple of weeks ago was carried by Mainstreet.
  21. Sounds like Cary Eades may be at this gopher hockey event on Thursday night: From: Doug Woog Sent: Tuesday, January 29, 2008 3:33 PM To: Doug Woog Subject: "PUCK CHATTER" at Stub @ Herbs Thursday 1/31/08--7 pm ARE YOU A DIE HARD GOPHER HOCKEY FAN? IF SO, JOIN US ON CAMPUS AT STUB & HERB
  22. Very sad to see a person, even a gopher, looking this bad. I hope this event is his wake up call.
  23. The local Duluth station WDIO did NOT renew the contract with UMD. So Bethany College, the same students who covered the Mankato game this past weekend are televising 6 games for UMD. Story on Bethany College TV Now if we can just get someone to post a list of which games are being televised and which stations will be airing the games.
