OK, I'm looking for help here. I live in Marquette, MI and have been watching on dish for 2 years and was able to guess and move to 93 west last year and had no problems. This year,I've tried everything I've read on here, watched the videos and no luck. Finally paid a local guy to come over to help me aim, but he doesn't have very sophisticated equipment. Now we're pretty sure we've got a signal from 91 west, but I still can't get my receiver (Pansat 2700A) to scan in any channels at all. He seems to think that my box might need an upgrade, but would that make a difference because I'm not getting any channels? I'm at my wit's end here. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks to NHL Network, I'll see a couple of games, and I've also paid for the streaming video. But I want to watch on my big screen!

Happy Birthday! Mine already started since I'm on Eastern Time. No cocktails tonight, tho - had a few last night.

Thanks, Redwing and Puck Swami. I'm usually a lurker on these boards, and have been a diehard fan for 30 years, but I get so frustrated with the comments about how we suck we after losing a 1-0 road game to a very good team (and I despise the midget, too). I know the team has been up and down right now, and we certainly don't know everything that that's happening with "team chemistry". I want to put #8 on my old folks' jacket as much as anyone. I am very pissed at losing tonight. I love reading these boards, but I get more pissed at the pissing and moaning here (did I use the word "pissed" enough there?) than anything else. Show some f'ing support and quit the "Al Gore says the Sky is Falling and we're all gonna die" theme. Drinking and tired in Michigan, Blast away.

Thanks, guys. I'll try the links and maybe look for a meter to learn it myself. I tried the yellow pages and ended up a bust. I appreciate your replies.

I need help. First off, I bought a fixed dish. Secondly, I have the misfortune of living in a sprsely populated area (the U.P.), where I'm having great difficulty finding anybody that has the knowledge and/or tools to get it re-aimed. All of the commercial people here either don't do it or their tech guy left. I've already missed a couple of football games and will go crazy if this is where I am when hockey starts. Does anybody know if there's a "network" of knowledgable satellite aiming guys out there or "satellite aiming for dummies"? I've exhausted my resources. Thanks.

Well, Video went to hell again.

Nice video. Glad I paid for it. Who are the bozo's running this thing anyway? Did they do ANY testing?

I'm confused (natural state). I have a dish for FSSN games. Are the streaming video games on Sioux Xtra going to available on my dish?

Since we live in Beautiful Marquette, MI, Tech and Wisconsin are our logical choices - Duluth if time and work permits. Also a good excuse to not have to go to NMU games.

Anybody know of anything in San Francisco for the Final? Made plans along time ago to take the family there for Spring Break. I know we'll be able to watch it, it'd just be nice if there were any other Sioux fans around.

Here We Go: Grew up in Minot (MHS '74). Was in Grand Forks late 70's and early 80's. Best UND memories: Helped to bring back the UND Feathers for a few glorious years.Basketball was king before Gino arrived to turn the hockey program around, and the SU games were unreal for atmosphere. Helped to start a big halftime melee with a bunch of smelly Bison fans on the court at one game. Walked the wall at Memorial Stadium leading cheers at many football games and got to know Pete Coe at Campus Security very well. Got hooked on hockey when the aforementioned Mr. Gasparini took over. Was at the Sioux-Badger pre- game brawl in GF and over the years have made a lot of lifelong friends through hockey, especially with Badger fans. I used to tend bar at the Antique, but when I turned 21, came back over the border to GF to sling drinks at the Fabulous Westward Ho in the Gaslight and the Peanut Bar. Been managing bars and hotels since I left GF - starting in Bismarck, Twin Cities, Deadwood, Bismarck, Rochester, Hibbing, Bismarck, Willmar (sucks), and have been in Marquette, MI for this century. Wear Sioux apparel to all NMU games. If you're ever up here, look for Michigan license plates "NDSIOUX".

Satellite Move for The Fighting Sioux Sports Network
Bin replied to cheesemover's topic in Men's Hockey
Iceberg: Thanks for your input. I let my satellite guys know that they could find any info they needed on this board. They were over Thursday to re-aim the dish and after a "smart scan" I now have the FSSN locked in. No more going to boring NMU games here in Marquette if I can be anti-social and sit in my living room and watch the Sioux! By the way, team, Nice Game tonight. Let's get the sweep tomorrow! -
Satellite Move for The Fighting Sioux Sports Network

I recently had a Pansat 2700A receiver installed with a 1 meter dish. It is not motorized and we are going to use it exclusively for FSSN games. This past Saturday I tried every scan I could imagine and could not find the football game. First, was it on? Second, is there any list of other channels on that particular satellite (IA8) that I could check to verify that the dish is aimed correctly? Part of my problem is that the installer only works Mon- Fri and the games are never on when he's available. Any comments or suggestions are welcome. -
Is this game on FSSN today? I just had my new dish installed and am getting nothing.

Wow!!! Just got home after dinner out after listening to the first half and worrying the whole time. Reading this board as play by play was (almost) as exciting as listening to the game! I was yelling to my wife every time when I read that the Sioux scored and moaning when UNI did. Whatever, thanks to Sioux fans for this thread and a big CONGRATS to Dale and the team. p.s. SiouxMD - Keep healthy! I and my family are so proud of what you and the rest of our forces are doing over there.

How come nobody knows this song anymore? One of the best ever. Should become part of freshman orientation. ( Again)
