  1. Really! I had no idea that so many were practicing muslims.
  2. Why do you keep talking about some city in Saudi Arabia on this forum?
  3. I may be a little slow, but I think I see a pattern here. cfm567b27 may have issues with REA.
  4. MM, you're kidding right? You've GOT to know who's pictured there!
  5. Sica, I remember this too. It absolutely needs to be brought back, as the entire arena was in full frenzy by the time the players hit the ice and often even after the puck had been dropped. This would be the single best way to improve the atmosphere in the new building. It's simply a great fight song.
  6. Does everything really need to be a conspiracy?
  7. Gee tony, the Sioux wanted to play 'SU this year, it's just that 'SU wouldn't play in GF...that and UND football doesn't schedule schools that schedule NAIA schools. Sorry..... Oh, and by the way, all 'SU had to do in order to play the Sioux was to STAY IN THE NCC! (i.e. 'SU killed the rivalry.) If you must whine, PLEASE do it elsewhere.
  8. Well, let's see... Sounds to me like you're pretty much cloaking yourself in righteousness, but as an inferior being, what the heck do I know? I'm not trying to start a pissing match here. I was just trying to point out that your message stood a good chance of being lost in the way it was delivered. FWIW, I have seen games behind the netting and I don't like it. My seats in the REA will likely not be affected, for which I am glad. If I ever change seats, I will avoid being behind netting. If my seats were affected, and REA didn't give me an option to switching to similar quality unobstructed seats, or try to find those season ticket holders that would prefer the safety of obstructed seats to arrange swaps, I would definitely be non-plussed, but I don't know that I'd pitch a fit or anything. I can certainly understand those that are displeased at now having seats obstructed by netting. When I go to NHL games I make a special effort to get seats that are not behind the netting. And yes, when I go to a baseball game, I don't get seats behind home plate because of the netting. BTW, I believe that the little girl that was killed also had a previously undectected congenital neck defect that exacerbated the incident. Under those circumstances, I think it's perfectly reasonable to consider protective netting a possible overreaction. And I respect your right to hold a differing opinion.
  9. NOTICE: Canuck has rendered his opinion, which shall hereafter be deemed fact. Those of differing opinions are therefore wrong. Perhaps someday, some of the rest of us can become a superior beings so that our opinions may become fact too. (Lose the 'tude dude)
  10. Congrats, Bo. Thanks for the three seasons you played at UND. I'm glad the Sens finally offered you a contract that you found acceptable. I wish you nothing but success in your professional career. I'll always remember the many highlight reel goals you scored with that wickedly quick, hard and accurate shot of yours.
  11. I agree to a large degree with Sica's picks, with the following exceptions: I predict MTU will finish in the middle group and SCSU will not (last group). I also predict DU will finish in the last group. They lose way too much, especially James, Berkoel, and Caldwell (he must have logged more minutes than either goaltender for them last year), for a team that was not impressive in the RS. I think they're going to have a NC hangover too. And any team the Gwoz coaches will suffer mightily on any crackdown of interference/obstruction like the NCAA is claiming to do. Finally, this is an even year and they have struggled for quite some time in the even seasons.
  12. The REA schedule shows Sioux vs. UMD football to be on DAZ, but the official release previewing the Mesa State game says it will be on both FSSN and DAZ (see link below): UND Athletics Release The satellite info page on the REA site also says both Friday and Sat. hockey games will be on satellite, so I'd assume they'd also be on cable FSSN (see link below): REA Satellite Info Anything's possible, especially since, if memory serves, there are a lot fewer football games on FSSN as compared to last year. Also, the audio web link has yet to work this season.

(Desperately trying to catch my breath and wiping tears from my eyes) Man, you are seriously funny! You should get a gig writing for Conan! Pathetic jerk
  14. Bingo, Jim - you hit the nail squarely on its head. This is just the latest chapter in the continuing saga of UND-GF and NDSU-Fargo pissing all over the other. If it weren't so damn sad it might even be funny.
  15. I think UND does this every year for military (essentially GFAB) personnel, but not necessarily the first football game of the season. Is 'SU in the habit of offering these 20 seats for $100 tickets? If not, then it would appear that these were offered so that 'SU's DIAA coming out party did not fall flat. Nothing wrong with that, it's good marketing of a bad product - that bad product being Valpo (not 'SU) football. It's much more important for 'SU to be able to say they sold out their first ever DIAA home game than for UND to say they sold out the first home game of the 2004 season. Hopefully everybody can understand and agree with that. Oh, and bisonguy? If 'SU is offering these special ticket prices as a one time deal solely to boost attendance their DIAA home opener, you better watch out because that glass house you're in is coming down around your ears, courtesy of that cinder block you just tossed through a bearing wall.
  16. Pete (or anybody else out there that has a blind search receiver), There is a Sioux home football (no Pete, not soccer - american football) game on at 1 pm this Saturday. It's not scheduled to be on FSSN, but I'm thinking that it's worth checking to see if it will be on. If it is on FSSN, please post on this forum the 'actual' coordinates as determined by your blind search. If there is a coach's show this Thursday at 7 pm, the coordinates could be confirmed then as well. Anybody know whether a coach's show will be on this Thursday? Another question: The REA site mentions an 'allocated bandwidth' of 9.000 MHz. Is this somehow related to the symbol rate, meaning maybe a symbol rate of 9,000? Any help is greatly appreciated.
  17. I think it's possible, in fact likely, that Danenhaur worded his statement so as to emphasize the fact that all other sports would be competing at the highest level of competition in the NCAA, knowing full well that what he said was not strictly correct. Nice gratuitous shot at RT by the way. Do you hate him because he turned around UND's long losing streak against 'SU? RT has been nothing but a class act to friend and foe alike during his tenure as UND's head football coach and AD. Save your snide remarks for those that deserve it.
  18. Pete, Does this mean it can be picked up on horizontal (at 14300.75 MHz) or vertical polarity (at 12000.75 MHz)? What is the symbol rate? Is it 14000?
  19. Interesting. I did not know this. I just assumed they were signed under the CBA in force at the time of signing, not at the time they were drafted. I suppose this may be a point of emphasis for the owners to get this changed.
  20. Yes, it's called Teamline, and it's expensive (although I've never used it). Teamline
  21. Not trying to flame here, just wondering what your rationale for this is?
  22. Isn't Vanek threatening to go the WHL, and wouldn't this be the last year he could do that (because of his age)? If so, isn't Vanek's position stronger than BB's (because Buffalo stands to lose their rights to Vanek if he goes to the WHL), and won't it be considerably weaker this time next year if he returns to UMN? Not trying to be a smartass, just wondering if I'm missing something.
