Having never perused the POI I can't really compare them with SiouxSports.com. But I would find it hard to believe that any other fan based forum could be much better than SS.com. This is a great place for any college hockey fan to learn about the Fighting Sioux. As I am only a "new" one to these ranks, I have learned more about the Fighting Sioux in the last 7-8 months than I did the previous 4-5 years. Hopefully you will never feel unappreciated (judging by the posters I've seen you never will be) for what you do. True fans to be able to give others this forum. Keep up the good work. This is one kick ass site!!

Thoughts and prayers are with Coach Hakstol and his family. PCM is right... in perspective hockey is ultimately only a game.

Read the article and it just reinforces my decision to fly to GF for the Wisconsin series and take in the Fighting Sioux experience. Can't wait to experience what you guys have...

Unfortunately, it makes you wonder if any one could believe any of the posts from these guys(?). Not sure if one or all of them should get a life. Especially if one is lame enough to mention someones passing when it isn't true. But who the heck knows. All I can say is that it's poor taste (to those who may have it) and a waste of space on a quality forum. But what could you do about that?!

I hope I could get some advice from all of the seasoned Sioux fans out there regarding some questions I have. Looks like my wife and kids want to send me to Grand Forks for my birthday so I can see a Fighting Sioux game (either because I always talk about wanting to go or they want to get rid of me for the weekend). I'm looking to get out to the February 26th Wisco game so with some questions... Is Ticketmaster the only way to get available seats at this point? Section 302 Upper Level seems to be the available area through them. Any possiblity for any better seating? I only need one seat. Regardless, I figure I'm going to have to act fast to get a seat. I'm flying in from Michigan, so what is the best hotel option (closet to UND, airport shuttle)? Depending on lodging, then what would be the best way to get back and forth to the Ralph? (I wasn't planning on renting a vehicle at this point). I know I've seen posts on this before, but if possible, what's the best place for some beers before/after the game? Also, what recommendations would any one have for a first timer to accomplish while out for a game? Thanks for time and any advice you can throw my way! I'm really looking forward to this visit.

As I play the music and announce at my kids hockey games, can I get some thoughts from anyone on what you might think are god tunes to play before/during and after the game. I may have a lot of them now but I'm always looking for some more...

I've came across SiouxSports.com several months ago and found it a great way to get the feeling of what's going on with Fighting Sioux hockey and their fans. All of the regular posters seem to be great fans and open to hear from all (except Gopher fans, especially those ignorant ones). Born in Jamestown and living in Michigan since 1972 I developed a love for Sioux hockey 5-6 years ago (where have I been?). Can't skate worth a darn and apparently embarass my boys (who play hockey) when I'm on the ice with them. Grinning from ear to ear and telling everyone who'd listen what a great team UND was when the Sioux took the Great Lakes Invitational several years ago. I wear my Fighting Sioux jerseys, hats, coats, etc whenever I go to the annual MSU-UM game at the Joe, the CCHA Super Six and the OHL games in Saginaw. Every time I get more than several comments from people who say what a great team UND is. Quite often I get asked if I played at UND but I have to tell them I'm a only a fan. Hoping for the best for the Sioux season, will be watching the post, reading with interest, and maybe add a few words if I have something intelligent to say. Good job to this web site and to all of the fans! Go Fighting Sioux!!!

Can any one tell me where one could buy a high quality Fighting Sioux hitch cover. Being I live in Michigan, I'll never find one here. I'm looking for an aluminum or pewter. Anything but the cheap plastic one they sell at the SiouxShop. Any info would help!
