On a note related to Flo Hockey All WHL games are on victory plus for free. They have an app for Apple TV as well so it makes streaming pretty easy

If you’re just picking 3 forwards for first team (and not filling out 2 wings with a center) I personally don’t think it’s crazy to put Boisvert in over Eiserman. If he takes the anticipated step in his game I think he’s bringing a lot more to the table than Eiserman Also wouldn’t be surprised to see Jackson Smith not make the all rookie team. Have heard some comments on pods that he’s gona have some adjusting to get up to speed with the college game. -

Ask how involved he envisions the defenseman being in the offensive zone to make it a 5 man attack. (will it be more regularly or just more out of desperation if they find themselves trailing) -
Michigan got a random 1st place vote which was pretty bizzarre

This is the only reason I could be talked into care about it. Superstition hahah -
More or less a super aged out junior player like the others that have done this recently. It makes headlines that they are "former pros" but its not much different than any other aged out JR player coming in as a freshman. What is interesting is that it sets a precedent for say an Ivar Stenberg who is playing 1 year pro over in sweden this year before he's drafted in 2026. In theory I don't see how he cant get the same exception and play in the NCAA starting in 2026 if he would want to.

Ivankovic isn’t a sure thing either from what I’ve heard. He’s played well in the big international events but in the regular season he wasn’t exactly setting the world on fire -
Hope the recovery goes well and yes, think it makes it an almost certainty that he will come after being drafted in 2027. It seems like they'll need to bring in 3 "capable" top 6 players next year to replace (Rickwood, Strinden, and James). Williams and Simpson seem to fit the bill but the 3rd guy definitely seems to be up in the air at the moment.

Victory plus is pretty solid actually watched the mem cup on it and didn’t have any issues also have friends in Texas that use it to watch all home stars games
-
That was his argument yes. Granted I think red deer didn’t have the greatest team surrounding him and if he didn’t get hurt this year there’s a good chance he’s pretty close to a point per game.
-
Listened to the whole segment with Sutter and he triples down saying it was a BAD decision for Ollie to leave the WHL early. I'd assume that is just not even remotely the case. (so more or less he's trashing the player, which is pretty petty)
-
With Schultz likely coming in next year I'm curious if UND designated at least 2 players as "cut" players that are grandfathered in and don't count against the 26 man scholarship roster? If they were to do it to try and gain max roster flexibility I'm assuming they'd pick one sophomore D and one sophomore forward. That way they'd in theory be able to have 28 players on teams for at least 2025, 2026, and 2027. (then by the time 2028 arrives who knows, roster limits could be expanded by then anyway - 26 is a slim roster if your team gets banged up throughout the year)

Schloss and others have said Duluth is going to have a "great squad" the past 2 years and they've flopped. At this point they've lost the benefit of the doubt for me personally. ' Granted maybe 3rd times the charm who knows. -

A little interesting to note both Homer and Zmolek are listed as "Graduate" students in lieu of being listed as "Juniors" -
Carle’s comments are similar to UNDs. They don’t intend on trying to outbid teams but they definitely want to compensate players. The article also mentions finding “creative” ways to generate revenue when it comes to NIL / hockey team revenue. Turning 1 day of summer “pro” camp into an all star game with tickets sold would be neat to see. Opening a charitable table game casino right next to the Ralph for convenient pre and post game use to fundraise would be interesting to see as well
-
If I had to bet on a school in Utah to go D1 first it would be BYU (basing it on Ryan Smith being an ultra wealthy alum, just bought the Utah NHL team and seems to genuinely like hockey, plus believe he’s already providing a good chunk of NIL to BYU)

Nice to hear that Jax and Co seemed to go all out to re-invigorate the summer pro camp. Think it's huge to have that presence around current players to help keep passing down culture and expectations to new/current players. And for the players that have pro aspirations, I'd assume they love to have current pros around to bounce questions off of. -

Ya think based on ticketmaster they aren't opening the upper bowl. -
Bummer, was hoping they'd go with the same font as the jerseys

Nehring could be a guy to help fill that void from Bump for WMU, wish we could've landed him back in the day recruiting. (I think that's why it's fair to applaud the coaching staff for locking down Grubb and Penner, because for whatever reason the past regime either missed out on landing Nehring or didn't think he was worth recruiting) Not sure if he was a late bloomer? He was a horse for WMU last year though especially considering he was a freshman.
-
Definitely a pipe dream but Kentucky and Louisville would be some fun additions to the NCHC. Would work nicely in a 4 team pod with Miami and WMU
-
Granted - spicer and Panzer were "young" recruits back before the rule changed I believe so a little bit different of a situation.
-
I'd assume with Penner being a July birthdate that there's a good chance he'll play 2 years of junior
