  1. Because the line isn’t very good. But since everyone kept saying over and over they were good it must be true. It’s obvious no one ever watched a game last year. You have the laziest center in college football and 2-3 complete blown blocks every play. There was no communication last game especially on the delayed rush man. Don’t worry Valap this week and Murray State this year will make everyone feel good.
  2. They had Colorado State down to the wire.
  3. No negative comments allowed. Only rainbows and sunshine talk.
  4. OC, DC, and ST Coordinators again show their true colors. The HC/DC spent past year taking credit for the previous administration and UND supporters upgrading facilities, recruits etc. Had a good opportunity to come out on top but continued 24 years of mediocrity but hey you beat Portland State. The FCS is terrible right now my goodness maybe take care of business. The process doesn’t matter if you don’t win. Last year at least Montana was a gritty win.
  5. Basically a win, like always. KState was awful other than a few areas. Glad to see the rising players do well for UND. The major issues continue to be ignored on defense and the O-line. Sawyer and Jerry made the whole team look good. Coaches do just enough not to win, it’s quite a gift actually. Easy game up next so things will be fine.

    Who is QB1?

Correct. Most big games were won with key first down throws. Gronowski lost his accuracy and that lead to their difficulties at the end last year. NDSU QBs have been accurate throwing the past 10 years and can run. Catch any preseason NFL highlights this week?
  7. Usually this originates from a lazy coaches pet with a big mouth and sometimes you get what you deserve.

    Who is QB1?

It’s gonna be interesting watching the competition between the two. Good problem to have to a point.

    Who is QB1?

How did you all do predicting QB1 from August to November last year?

    Who is QB1?

JTJ, Romfo, Kaminsky and Sulik. Kaminsky and Sulik will be a coin flip with Sulik being younger getting the most upside chances.
  11. Most ends/edge will move in to DT as needed. The 3-4 big DT’s will stay inside though. Depth isn’t great but not bad if no injuries. There will be young guys in the mix for depth. Blegen was as effective as anyone last year.
  12. Most likely.
  13. Please delete this.
  14. Exactly. Other than bizarre bad luck 6-7 games should be easy almost blow out wins every single year. Add 2-3 more good wins should be the minimal expectation.
  15. Has UND ever had a new football and hockey coach before in the same athletic year?
  16. Offense is basically set. Rotate a few receivers perhaps. QB1 couldn’t lose job last year after being chosen off of 5 yard passes in practice. Defense last years starters and the new transfers you can plug in. Leaves a few spots left open. Please don’t break my heart and follow through with real competition for spots everyday until January.
  17. Sounded like lingering injury.
  18. Teiken was the main one and couple others left. He was the only close to starter I believe. There isn’t much being said after them. Just with the current landscape in football it would be unlikely any of the 1-2 deep finding a new home unless more transfers are brought in on D and scholarships are cut and a player doesn’t see a light at the end of the tunnel. The roster is plenty big but most spots aren’t super deep and anyone that’s a backup is only one injury away.
  19. Johnson is coming in for one reason and one spot at QB1. Last year sure was odd to watch. I think Simon is two or 3 at the lowest if healthy. I can see Higgins being in the mix if he stays at QB.
  20. We will see. I think with same OC and experience he stays and gets the 2nd nod. Scholarship or not there really is no where for anyone on the bubble to go. A few players have left the team the past few weeks that were on scholarship so it does make room for transfers. Someone on here or somewhere did the scholarship math a while ago.
  21. I think a book could be written about it. It’s been a crazy last 5-10 years for UND athletics.
  22. Pretend, guess, predict, see with my own eyes, visit with players, visit with coaches, work with UND and NDSU, and I also once scored 4 touchdowns in a high school football game…actually the most I scored was 2 but the Al Bundy quote fits.
  23. Hold on now, are you predicting there will be a few more defensive players brought in?
  24. I didn’t realize I had anything to gain from this. On to semantics?
  25. I agree but it was strange to go from Schuster as the QB with Romfo packages, and Vaughn packages. Last year Quincy got his few short yardage chances but Jerry didn’t see the field unless we were up by 85 points and he still had to down the ball for fear he might look good. Half the coaching staff lost their jobs over the implosion.
