Exactly. Watching yesterday after 2 awful losses thinking the same thing. Second half first play don’t you start plugging in some players that can at least try to maybe a difference. Line is getting rolled on both sides of the ball again. O-line couldn’t stop a 3-4 man rush. We have one good run Smith breaks 1-2 tackles and beats everyone to the end zone again to make O line look good for the week. Do we not have any D line man on the team? QB is swamped every play and can’t throw. Deng Deng on the team? Tai? Bo has 2.5 games left so let’s save him for playoffs. SDSU obviously scouted and exploited every weakness. SDSU corner end zone passes were a work of art. I wonder if we have a QB that could do that? No sense trying that play. How do all the coaches go along with it 3 weeks in a row and just say “yep, this is the best anyone can do.”

Yes O line is getting bigger. I meant more D side. Also the old O line coach was obsessed with being under sized/weight. A little more historical I should say. And the roster isn’t always accurate.
-
And if you start the game off with a pick 6 at this point in the season you head to the bench and out comes #11 for the rest of the year and get some competition back on this team.
-
Agree. It’s obvious the D is too small. We refuse to play any 300 lb D or O lineman. If you tall and are skinny and look like an outside linebacker you play interior D line here. Orlando and Beach should never come off the field except to rest. Gotta rush the ball with at least 4 or the result is we make every quick QB look like Lamar Jackson. Our 280 to 320 lb recruits never see the field. Back to offense Bo Belquist isn’t too bad either and we have 4 backs that could run for any team including FBS.
-
That’s not taking anything away from Bison so not sure what you are implying?
-
Offense is stacked. They might not be on the field if you follow that. There is more than a few that should be starting. I also hear chatter that’s some O and D lineman could move on either side of the ball and aren’t utilized. Minnesota and Wisconsin player of the year both never found the field yet. Multiple lineman on both sides of the ball recruited by other big schools including the Iowa’s. Some have not found the field either. Kilty looks like a man possessed at KState. Ventrelli was best in FCS. Bryant starts at San Diego. On and on and on.

Sorry to break it to you all but he zzzzzzzzzz in meetings all the time. I’ve been there.

Play one different player on the sideline and we win by 3. Play a few more on the sideline and we win by 17. Quit whatever we call that defense and pressure the ball like every other football team in the country and we win by 31.
-
And then we played Youngstown. (I’ll ignore the NDSU game).
-
Just got here. What did I miss today?
-
The game is a lot more interesting and more on the line than it was a few days ago.
-
Plays that rely on blocking the path of the ball are 50/50 at best. Our best runs are continually block left and run right or flip the other way.
-
Quincy’s TD against Northern Iowa nobody blocks and he breaks two tackles and scores and it’s a great play and nothing to worry about. 2pt conversion yesterday and they have two guys on the RB flare and again nobody blocks and Quincy gets swallowed up and we all wonder why it didn’t work.

Everyone thinks loss to NDSU was ok and the glaring issues aren’t addressed. Win the next game all is well. This game is evidence why you don’t make excuses and get better. I was so shocked to see a QB run on us and have success, never seen that before. If you don’t put pressure on the ball the entire defense is screwed. We rush maybe one player and contain none. Keep rocking the 3-4. I’m not sure I’ve seen a single adjustment on offense or defense in 3 years.

Agree on everything. Strange part is the athletes are on the team but who they play and how doesn’t seem to make sense from the stands sometimes. I would turn our big nose guards and D tackles loose on every play but they spend half the time on the sideline. 3-4 works when they bring up the linebackers to the line.

I thought Murray State looked like a pretty good team then after what USD did and we did in Fargo the next week I came back to reality.
-
It’s better to lose the right way than win the wrong way or something. This week better be a win.
-
So I’m not the only one here that watched the game. Good.
-
Losses to FBS and one of the top FCS teams aren’t really losses. Neither are losses after big wins, on the road, or playoffs. There wasn’t really any issues yesterday it was mostly just bad luck.
-
Changed my mind. Great game.
-
Haha good practice scrimmage we had today. Keep trying you can do it!
-
No turnovers. No penalties. Pound the ball. Misdirection and pass. Receivers must make the play on the ball thrown. Defense get a couple take aways.

I’m not even reading tonight. Great win. We showed we have some phenomenal playmakers at #1 and #2 spots. Keep the momentum and prep for next week. Fix the gaps and build on the complete game. I would not want to face us right now.
