This board needs the puking icon! These jersey's suck! I'll be waiting until the name and logo are retired and see what they come out with for jerseys then. Until then, my now "old" jerseys will do. How can we go from having the best jerseys in college hockey to some of the worst? Edit: and WTF is up with the women's jerseys? Horrible!!!

SiouXtra The 9-10-09 Sioux Sports Today has a short interview with golf coach Dan Frei where he discusses a new Golf Room that has been created in Hyslop. Guess they converted an old raquet ball court or two into a nice practice facility. It sounds like they spent some good money on it and that it should be a pretty high tech facility for the golf team.

I'm just praying to god that they don't look anything like these. You can see the white version jersey framed in the background of this Idalski video shot at the REA. Never mind. The link doesn't seem to be going directly to the video. It is the last interview of Idalski talking about the Lamoureux twins playing for team USA. I hope that they keep them remotely similar to what the team has now. And I hope that the women's jersey's are similar to the men's. I don't want to become one of those schools that is changing jersey styles every couple of years. Let's build a distinct brand for UND and keep it.

www.kxmc.com President Kelley thinks this is an exciting time? I don't know too many people that are "excited" over how the nickname and logo situation has been handled by the SBHE. Goofy choice of words in my opinion. Either he is really trying to spin this or he is oblivious to how alumni and fans are going to react if the name is retired. Maybe I'm being overly sensative but it kind of bugs me how carefree and chipper he is talking about the possability of dropping the Sioux name. He kind of comes across like it won't be a big deal.

They are also reshowing it on Fox College Sports a few times a week this year. I saw it on there a couple of times this last week.

Sat. Dec 12 could be one fun day for hockey fans! It's not too often that you get to play 2 of your biggest rivals on the same day. If they market it right and draw in some of the people in town for the men's Badger series, they could potentially set a UND women's hockey attendance record against the Gophers.

I personally don't like it. But that's just because I would like to see them move even farther away from Notre Dame's logo and establish a seperate identity for the University of North Dakota. At least they took a baby step in the right direction.

I assume you are talking about football national championships. Because both NDSU and SDSU won national championships after that in other sports.

A rather misleading title. But it will be interesting to see if it ever turns out to be true. It is nice to know that SBHE members are working behind the scenes to get us into the Summit League though.

The university needs to let the dust settle before moving on and picking a new nickname. So going a few years without a nickname is a smart idea. Hopefully one will naturally appear without some random group picking one behind a closed door and trying to force it on us. But going without a nickname/logo/mascot forever would be a huge mistake from a marketing standpoing. Both academically and athletically.

Before NDAC became NDSU, like other midwestern schools UND commonly used NDU in it's pamphlets and publications. After NDSU came along, that reference eventually kind of phased out. But this all has nothing to do with recruiting.

Tran and the Grand Forks Herald: Your conspiracy theory articles continue to sicken me. The fact that you try to pass them off as news is even worse. The worst of all is that the Herald continues to allow this. Your piece the other day about how the REA/UND was paying all of the nickname supporters on the reservation was classic. Forget facts, what do they accomplish. Conspiracy articles are more fun and take less research. The City Beat blog Really? The Herald is so quick to publish allegations against anyone who has ever supported the nickname, even without facts. Yet you don't want to publish allegations against the anti-nickname dozen? I am officially never buying a Herald/Forum Communications publication again. I am sure the Bismarck Tribune would love to send me a subscription.

Seriously. I want to throw up right now. They just had to put a little pressure on at the end there. Instead they sat back and now we are going to OT and UNH is going to have the momentum. Time for the guys to step up and show some heart!
