Where are the coaches telling them to drive it and get an easy 2?? Instead we get a 20 dribble step back contested 3 -

At this point I’d rather have Daniel Hong be the backup PG than Grant. He brings absolutely nothing. Hong is MONEY in warmups! Maybe would actually look at the rim! -

Don’t get it! Why don’t they go to a 5 out offense and space the floor?? -

He’s better off the bench. Plays with a different energy -

To be fair he has played solid since starting. Nothing great but not bad either -

Hoping for big games from Eaglestaff and Omot again. Need a similar if not bigger performance than what they did against USD. Love when those two are ultra aggressive and looking for their own shots! -
Nothing against Norman, but I just watched his Midco feature and in it he said that no other schools wanted him. That only UND was recruiting him. Seems like there are a lot of guys on our roster this year and in years past under Sather that had similar situations. How many guys on our roster had 0 other D1 offers or even D1 interest before coming here??

Troy Huff. It's sad that we can go from that level of talent to what we have now...
-
You're right on that! Kraft is listed as a PG. I guess I have always viewed him as more of a SG. Or at least that is the position I could see him playing more of in college
-
I absolutely agree that his ceiling is high and is probably higher than any of our guards other than Eaglestaff. He will go to a better team than UND once he's done in HS
-
Two of those players aren't PG's... Mason Klabo is the only PG listed
-
You are severely underestimating the physicality and speed of college basketball and how much of an adjustment it is. If you put him in a live college basketball game right now it wouldn't be close. A 15/16 year old vs 20 something grown men that have years of college basketball experience.....
-
Trent, Brooks, Norman, Danielson. All better guards at the college level right now. If we're talking right now. He's only a sophomore in HS and at 6'1" 160 pounds he would have a hard time competing with the physicality and speed of the D1 level. That's if we are talking right now like the question states. But if we're talking when he's done with HS and going to be a freshman in college he will be better than the guards we have at the moment.

It always is! It also solves a lot of issues!

I will add though, from experience, that this usually does not lead to team success or wins. Hence UND's record and being 0-4 in conference play. You can't keep doing the same thing (constantly switching who plays when/how much) and expect different results. At some point you have to just play the top 8 best players and figure it out from there. It can't get any worse than it is now!
-
People thought the last couple games were must win games. What does that make the next two?? I would think extremely must win. Only team in the league without a conference win. Against the other bottom two teams in the league. I've said this all year long, UND has the players to be a middle of the pack Summit league team this season. Hopefully we can start to see those players skills put to use for a couple wins!
-
That's correct. They don't always work. But at least you tried, instead of just sitting in the chair with your face in your hands shaking your head because it is all the players fault that the other team is on a run. Just like Sather did in the SDSU game.....
-
You are so out of touch with reality it isn't even worth discussing these topics with you. Somebody says something that you don't agree with and all you can come back with is extreme sarcasm and never any valid points to back up your claims. Again, I really respect you having Sather's back no matter the cost. But you're so off base with your defenses that it is ruining any credibility that you once had.
-
Uh oh.... I was worried about Sather's little minions coming out after that post! Maybe do something to stop the run that SDSU was going on?? You know.... going from up 13 to down 11 in a five minute stretch is probably something that you don't want to happen. Maybe, just maybe, try do something to stop it??

Well...... 3 straight losses at home to our rival 'Dakota' schools. All of which should have been winnable games against programs that are SIGNIFICANTLY down from last year. However, it resulted in 1 extremely embarrassing loss and 2 losses that should have been wins. The USD and SDSU games would have been wins if it weren't for extremely poor game management/usage of timeouts, poor playing calling and execution, and very poor usage of subs/rotations/being able to pick set rotations and sticking with it. At one point during the first half of the USD game I was starting to question if Sather had a case of memory loss and thought he was coaching hockey with how many line changes we saw. Somebody better check on him! On the positive side of things, at least none of these losses really count or even matter since it is another rebuilding year! I am just glad that Sather is a great guy and that all the players are having fun! Winning is an afterthought!
