I think Ira alluded to this earlier but who are these "far better, smarter people out there" that UND could hire at those salaries?

Why is it presumed that Danny wouldn't take the program in a new direction? He's 20 some years younger than Bubba and is likely to think differently as a HC than as an OC.

I've often heard of the complexities of the UND Defense and the supposed inability for new guys to "get" it, but watching all games, it seems the basics of tackling and being in the right place is a good place to start and quit the complex crap. Just noting that the best D player this year (IMO) Petigo was not out there today.

Agree about Danny and it appears Holinka and the 3-4 needs rethinking. Also, I have never seen a UND team tackle so poorly than this team.

It would require a very different recruiting philosophy. Is it easier to get LB's here or DL's? Looking at our roster, I'd say the LB's are better than the DL's. Naturally that's out of necessity for the 3-4, but can UND get those hogs on the D?

Kelly talks of reevaluating everything as Roger Thomas did years ago. Player body types, how to recruit and Matt wondered if 4-3 should be considered.
