Two games I remember from Brittain is when he shutout the Pony Express at the Ralph, and the final five game that went to overtime before Frattin ended it. I'd like to see him be average this weekend.

I guess if it takes games to get his interest to try and improve and not full weeks of practice and weight training, etc, then I'm glad he's gone. Whats the old saying......the ones with success are doing things to get better with nobody watching? Best Toews story I ever heard: (told by Mark Poolman at a coaches clinic I attended) ~Its after a tough WCHA weekend at the Ralph on a Saturday night after all the fans have gone and there are only a handful of people in the building. He's heading out (Poolman), when he sees a light on in the training room/weight room. He goes in and sees whats going on and he sees none other than Jon Toews on a bike, drenched in sweat going full speed by himself. He goes over and asks him "Jon, what in the world are you doing?" Toews tells him flat out that he isn't in good enough shape, and he had to get better. Moral of this story. Things might have been moving slowly for Toews at the time, but he fixed it himself and didn't look for an excuse, or a way out. He's playing in the NHL, has a gold medal, two stanley cups, the list goes on.

I wonder who he blames for things "moving slowly". Obviously a world class facility with training facilities better than what some NHL teams have is no way to better your game. Games. Just need to play games. Right Frattin?

Dear hockey gods, Sam Brittain has already had several hot goalie games against UND. And what you did to us with that Finnish guy Juho was unbelievable and uncalled for last season. We're owed one.......just saying....

UND now sitting at 17th in the pairwise. Cleary the season is over with.

Hak post game: ~Praise for Rodwell. ~Good start for the boys, opened things up. ~Were conservative in the third, but liked the third period. ~Nice to have different guys step in and score. ~Zane was good. ~More praise for Rodwell. ~Team playing well, showing some maturity. ~League is pretty even. Western 4 minutes away from getting 5 points in St. Cloud. DA BRONCS....

2-1 western over SCSU late in the third. Those two wins at western were absolutely huge.

Well UND should just win every game they show up to play, so naturally UND would win. But BSU wouldn't blow a two goal lead thats for sure.

Well if he was coaching this game it'd be 10-2 UND.

Rodwell is playing at another level. All over the place taking the body and creating scoring chances.

And 2-1 now. Schmaltz can't give the guy that much space, but it was set up by a horrible cross ice play.

I like how BSU has already had to go away from the bear hug in the corners....the officials did a great job setting the precedent right away.

1-0 on a nice play by Pattyn to Gaarder. And its 2-0.....And Andrew Walsh is not the best goalie in the world anymore.....

And in the NCHC....you can't do that....

Rau is one of the best I've ever seen. He is so good at making it seem like a penalty. Robbie Earl sucked because it was every time he got touched. And Rau is smart about it. If Minnesota is owed a power play he knows it and he will make a border line play look glorious.
