Just thinking out loud, but why not host the consolation round at home sites as well for the state tournament? I mean they are okay having teams travel all over the place on a Tuesday, why not host the Consolation first round on Thursday, and have the consolation championship game at the Ralph on Saturday morning, or the higher seed's home rink Saturday? There is the "it doesn't matter its the consolation round" argument, but these teams have already lost enough games, why not let them play it out for at least one or two more games? If it ended up being a Fargo school and Williston, the NDHSAA should rent some ice in Bismarck and call it good.

Goodbye Eddie Rosario. Cleveland should work out okay for him. I get that we are updating our team defensively with Simmons at short, but moving Polanco to 2nd means they don't have a position for Arraez other than utility. And they need his bat in the lineup.

I've seen Jekyll and Hyde with Omaha. Based on where Denver sits I'd say Omaha has a great chance to be at home in the postseason hosting Denver in the first round, unless they go on a terrible run losing 3 of 4 to UND and getting swept at Denver.

I'll be happy when we're done seeing UND legacy kids on Omaha. I mean I understand one every so often. Yet it's Archibald, Zambo, Ward, Morelli, Balfour. I'm sure I'm missing one somewhere in there too. If these kids sucked it wouldn't bother me too much, but all are pretty good players.

Own worst enemy tonight. Poor time to take a penalty by Weatherby at the end there, and Omaha takes advantage. Felt like about have way through the second period it wasn't our night. Took until Omaha went up two to get a spark.

Credit Omaha for making the adjustment and figuring out they need to slow the pace down and clog lanes when its even strength.

I believe its because you can't call a minor penalty on a review.

Interfering with a goalie's ability to play the puck and running him are two different things in my world I guess. We will agree to disagree, we all get to have opinions.

Same guy that called out UND for his team getting mystery concussions last year when UND was one of the least penalized in the country?? That classy guy? Aa far as Judd running the goalie, I've never seen a guy run a goalie feet first. Clearly lost an edge in my opinion.

Part of what needs to be discussed today with the group is that Omaha will play at a whole new level of stupidity tonight. We have got to keep our composure. 5x5 I don't think its a secret who the deeper team is.
