Here's a great story for everyone early on a Monday morning. Since Mr. HockeyMom and I don't get FSSN, we went up to a local watering hole Saturday night to watch the game. When we got there, the tv wasn't on the channel, so I asked the bartender to turn the channel to the game to which he did. One of the wisest Bison fans ever, saw that they had changed the channel, and looked over at us and yelled, "Division I Wannabes!" To which Mr. HockeyMom started to laugh and replied, "Good one ______!" And we both started to laugh pretty hard. I guess having 7 Division I titles still makes us wannabes. And to stress a point, there is no -AA after our Division I program.

Sorry, you should have joined this discussion a lot earlier it's been beaten to death on here. If you you want to know everyone's opinion go back to the nickname discusions that went on here a year or so ago. The only thing that we do know is that neither side of the issue is going to give into the other side. Simply changing a nickname will not make the issue go away. Dartmouth has lead by example on that one. (Don't get me wrong, Dartmouth has much stronger problems 20 years later than North Dakota has now.) Suicide, unemployment rates, alcoholism and the problems that affect our Native Americans are more important and will not miraculously be gone if North Dakota is no longer known as The Fighting Sioux. As far as "getting us in trouble with the NCAA" The NCAA has violated the First Amendment of the United States, and we shouldn't just sit back and take it. It should read "the NCAA getting in trouble with UND"

Nope. I'll talk if it goes to OT. I really don't see the Gophers losing today, but last nights game proved that any team can skate with any team in the WCHA. We have a great league.

Okay, here's a cute story for you guys. I watched the 80, 82 and 2000 Championships today....and the end of the 2000 game was on when the avatar got home from school. So, she takes over the TV....and chooses to watch the Saturday Sioux/Gopher game. Not only is she watching the game, but she grabs her CD player and starts playing music after we score each goal. So Bina hits the 170+ footer and she cranks up the music- Queen's I Want It All. Freaking cute!
