DamStraight, That is a great idea. I think that the I'm not hostile or abusive t's that were being sold by two UND students were sold for cost, which was 5 or 6 dollars each. Could they be bought for less than that?

My son was the Sioux Kids' Club Captian of the Game early in the year and when he stood on the ice during the Star Spangled Banner, I looked out of the Sioux box onto the ice and saw this tiny kid and then huge Joe Finley.

It's like that episode of Kids in the Hall where that guy is in a fight and he's getting his but kicked and all of the bystanders are saying, "We strongly suggest that you stay down." and the guy keeps getting up and trying to fight some more. Dude, stay down. The pics don't annoy people like us with high speed connections, but with dial-up in can take days for those pictures to load.

Okay, I should have said predictable instead of guaranteed....... Regardless, if things were actually predictable no one would ever go to court on anything, civil or criminal. We won't know unless we go into court and let it be decided that way. Bottom line- it's going to come down to a jury of REASONABLE people deciding who is more right, the U or the NCAA.

A court outcome is NEVER predictable. Good try though.

The alternative sucks because the NCAA is a monopoly, last time I checked, they're illegal. In court, we have a 50/50 chance of winning- with the NCAA, we have a 0% chance of winning. Marquette wasn't told that they would be restricted by the NCAA, to the detriment of of their ATHLETES (a violation of the NCAA's own rules BTW) they changed their name on their own time. So we should just roll over and give up because you think we don't have a chance of winning? Those six or seven people have the right to protest So, the 1980 Olympic Hockey team should have never even taken the ice against the Russians, I guess. And WHEN he wins in court, he will be known as the president who finally put the nickname issue to rest by fighting the NCAA when it said that my Alma Mater is hostile and abusive, when it isn't.

That happens on every sports board. I say it all the time with the intention that there are no players reading. However, I did post something about my favorite athlete one time and her mom read it and replied to me, and we continued to talk via that message board until she passed away.

There are only two Sioux Tribes in North Dakota. Right now, neither is against the use of the Sioux Nickname by the University of North Dakota.

We need help? Are we the ones on another team's boards telling their fans that they have an inferiority complex? We do enjoy the Sioux winning a lot more than we enjoy watching the Gophers lose. This year, the Holy Cross game was just a little added bonus.

74,800 There was a petition floating around MySpace not so long ago that was sent to all UND Alumni registered on the site. Apparently, the guy that sent it to me didn't look at my page before he sent it......let alone my picture.

Seriously.....everytime Kollar pops into my head I see THAT goal that MN scored on him on opening night at the New Ralph.....it's rather painful. EDIT okay, THAT goal is a little too broad, since there were several that night.....the pop fly that he missed and went into the goal between his legs.
