I was at the last F-M Jets game this season when they lost to Southern Minnesota in OT. I was really impressed with Brian. He's VERY small for a defensemen, but he worked his butt off the entire night. He also had a great open-ice hit on one of the Express players. I looked back at Robbie and Tony after the hit and they were laughing hysterically........guess they enjoyed it as much as I did.

Did I say I was a Rivard fan anywhere in my post? Didn't think so. IF the AVATAR has a chance to play any college sport, it's her decision where to go......and she would choose her coach in that situation. She would be an adult at that point, and I would respect her decision. The only thing that I would make her do is research where she is going and make sure that that program provides her with the tools to get a great education. And if, the avatar calls me crying that she doesn't like the coach, (which I doubt that she will because we play by the rule- there's no crying in hockey) I'll do the same thing that my parents did when I played sports- not bash the coach and blame everything on him/her no matter how much I think the coach is wrong. Something that is pretty much unheard of in this day and age. I had no idea that my parents didn't like my high school basketball coach until about 8 YEARS after I graduated and the coach's contract wasn't renewed. When I asked my parents what had happened my mom's response was that it was about time, and she thought she was a terrible coach when I played and it cost us. All I did was stood with my jaw on the floor, because I didn't have any idea how they really felt. I respect that.

Olson wasn't fired at Bemidji, he "stepped down" whether he did it on his own, or was told to- he left. Right now, I think it's safe to to say that Rivard will be the coach next season. Hopefully Paul and Dawn will be back next year. Do I agree with it? Doesn't matter, I'm still going to support the team. Bottom line is that Buning must believe in her enough to give her one more year to prove if she can or can not get the job done. So what are you saying here? That Buning is only letting her stay because she is a woman and he's afraid that if he fires her, she'll come back and say that she was fired because of her gender? That's such a crock of sh**.

[sarcasm] That whole ordeal was Sioux-cia's fault because of her password. [/sarcasm] I think it's a Native American spirit......who is proud to be an American....leading a Native American soldier in battle. Without the Lakota language that the Japanese couldn't break in WWII we may all be speaking German right now, the Native American role in the military is important and they know and understand that, as do we.

How cool is spending eternity in a Sioux jersey! RIP John.

AP Photo This photo is priceless. Sounds like everything went well, I pray that the next few days go well for the Carlsens.

Holy cow! That's a lot, and I was obviously wrong. So now you have peaked my curiosity.......which school was I thinking closed?

The last one-room school house in the state just closed a year or so ago, and I believe that it was somewhere in NW ND. And, no I am not kidding.

I ordered a purple one with no autographs on it. I'm pretty sure that they are all the same size, size 54.

I haven't heard back from him either.

I have a copy of the warm-up music......but it doesn't say what the names of the songs are when I play it on my RealPlayer.

The world would be a lot better place if everyone could laugh at themselves once in a while.

Why Siouxnami is optimistic about the 2006/2007 Fighting Sioux!

That song makes me feel like it's fall. If only the rain outside this morning was cold November rain. Did I just wish summer away? -
I guess I don't see why buying something with Holy Cross Hockey on it is immature. Rivalries are fun, and year to year things go back and forth. I recall a Bison fan losing a $5 bet a few years back on Sioux/Bison game day, and putting $5 worth of nickels in a small chunk of concrete. Both sides laughed, and life went on. I've had my Sioux flag stolen out of my yard by a rival team's fan. And I've put my Sioux flag up on someone else's house, for the sole reason that they hate the Sioux. I'll be wearing my bright purple HC practice jersey in downtown Minneapolis in mid-June. I'm hoping for some jeers, and it will be a great reason to talk hockey. Yeah, it may sting a bit to a Gopher fan, to see someone wearing something that says HC, but it stung a bit to be in a suite with some Gopher fans when they swept us in the Ralph this year too. I guess the bottom line is.....make sure you can take it, if you're going to dish it out (because eventually you are going to lose)........and I think I can handle that.

Well, the temporary fix for this problem is the Canes and the Devils.......I know they aren't wearing kelly green, but the names on the back of their jersies look pretty good.

I don't even know if I would count the AG's office for anything. First it was- we're behind UND and now it's- private funds should pay for this. And you are correct, the North Dakota delegation should have stood up right away and cried foul when the NCAA made their initial decision.

Look, it's the first thing that Hoeven has done since he set foot into office.

My drinking team has a softball problem. I spend one or two nights a week playing slowpitch with the girls, and a few weekends playing co-ed tournies at Red Willow. I refuse to grow up.
