Well, I don't know if everything will be all right, but I am the kind of person who likes to look at the glass as being half full. We have a lot of good recruits coming in. That said, you could have the best players in the world on your team, if the chemistry isn't there........you're not going to be successful. I think it's safe to say that it can't get much worse than last year....... We'll just have to wait and see.

He'll be missed. Good luck, Paul.

I wore my Kell's t-shirt back from Cancun and I had several people come up to me and tell me how great of a time they have had there. One couple even told me the story of how their son met his wife there..... Everyone loves Kell's! -
HockeyMom is #1. SEE *points to cheap, cheesy baseball hat with I'm #1 printed on it*

I don't think that it will be tied together, and I don't think that fighting for something that you believe in is classless, but giving up on it without trying is taking the cowardly way out. Nice to meet you too. P-town is one of my favorite towns, I like to hang out at Kell's on 2nd and Ash. Good times, good times...... -

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? You are the weakest link, goodbye. PS didn't you get the memo about EVERYONE in North Dakota being a hick? Good thing that you left, so you aren't one anymore. -
No it wasn't odd. I was standing on my feet cheering on the Holy Cross team with goosebumps on my arms and the hair standing up on the back of my neck after the game was over, while they were still on the ice, much like ALL of the people around me. I think the entire Holy Cross delegation was rather impressed with how they were treated in Sioux Land, including how they were treated during and after the Championship game.

No one wants to see HockeyMom beat anyone up in the suite.......on second thought, maybe they would. EDIT I forgot to add the little sarcasm smiley. There.

Kupchella: Self-righteous NCAA deserves lawsuit

They haven't listened to reason, that's why we need to let the courts decide our fate. Where would we be if no one ever challenged the system? Would I be able to vote? Would people be allowed to buy and sell other people? Would people be forced to pray in school? Would there be a seperation of church and state? Would people have the right to protest? Would people be allowed to sit anywhere on a bus? Could a law enforcement officer interrogate me without an attorney present? Would there be any labor laws? Would you like me to continue because I think I can go on all day..... Giving up is not the answer people. Fight the fight worth fighting. Like I said before this is no longer about a certain nickname, it's about treating schools differently and unfairly. It's not right. The NCAA needs to either figure that out on their own, or be told by someone with more power than them that they are wrong. -

I think that's why they are treating us differently. Jealous much NCAA? -

We have been charged by our athletic governing body of an unspeakable act, and were have been treated as if we are guilty from the time that they charged us. If UND changes the name or backs out of the NCAA, it will be presumed that we are leaving/changing because we are guilty. And we are not. Have you even read the letter that Kupchella wrote? -

You are charged with rape, yet you are innocent. Instead of going to court to prove your innocence you should plead guilty because that would be easier. The NCAA labeled The University of North Dakota Hostile and Abusive. The University of North Dakota is NOT Hostile and Abusive...that is what the commotion is about this whole thing is. Now would be the worst time to change the name because it would be under the presumption that UND is GUILTY of being hostile and abusive. -

UND is merely pointing out to the NCAA how incredibly flawed (although they didn't intend it to be that way when they started this whole mess) their decision is. I think the tone of the letter is that- hey NCAA, you have one more chance to change your mind before you see us in court......and reminding them that they are not being fair and consistant about this whole thing. This fight isn't over us having a certain nickname anymore. It's about the NCAA treating us differently than all the other schools that they have given a pass to. Sorry, you can't do that and expect people to bend over and take it. -
I thought Gay Speedskating Hitler was hilarious on SNL.

I've been reading this conversation for a couple days, it confuses me as to why there is a thread on it. Here's my $0.02. It's a good thing that some of you have NEVER make bad decisions or mistakes....so that you can cast stones on those of us who have. You can sit and say that one person made a bad decision and call them on the carpet for as long as you want. Truth is that we all make mistakes. It's what you do and how you react after you make that mistake that matters. You can sit here and call names and judge and do whatever you want, but someday you are going to be the one that makes the mistake. The you'll wonder why you were so hard on the person that made the mistake in the first place. It's kinda like spreading rumors- it's all fun and games, until it's about you.....then it doesn't really feel too good does it?

Also, I would be willing to pay more to have less people in the suite......but that's just me. I've done it both ways and when you get a suite packed with people that actually want to watch the game, it kinda blows to be packed in like sardines. If you have 10-15 people who could care less about the game, it's fine cause they can sit back at one of the tables and yap. Which brings me to the point- why would anyone want to sit back at a table and yap when the Sioux are on the ice? *shakes head*

I remember one time, Brasky took his family to SeaWorld...They were watching Shamu the whale and Brasky got splashed. So Brasky yells, 'I'm Bill Brasky and no one gets me wet!' So he climbs into the tank, grabs Shamu and throws the whale into the audience, splashes him and yells, 'Now how do you like it?' And then damn if Brasky didn't step in there and finish the show.

There's no mistaking how great TJ is as a person. When we were at the autograph session at the Ralph after the Frozen Four, I asked him for a pic with my 10 year old....who stood about three feet away from TJ totally in awe of him. TJ put his arm around him and told him to come in closer...... Actions speak louder than words, and I thought that single action spoke volumes about what kind of person he is.

The only real coverage NDSU got this year was when they won the WCHA Frozen Four. And that only lasted a couple of weeks because they changed the mistake on the poster. Most NDSU fans will admit that they enjoy Sioux hockey. It's the really jealous ones that can't stop talking about how much better NDSU football is than UND. Well, the last time that was answered was on the football field, and we all know how that ended, don't we? *polishes Nickel Trophy*

Does anyone have a link to the Forum's editorial yesterday that the State should step in and help Mayville State out? I didn't get a chance to read it and I heard it was a good piece.

Anyone seen the video of the daughter of the head of this church being interviewed on CNN? She's about a dozen sandwiches short of a picnic. It's too bad that they can't find a better venue to express their opinions then someplace where a family and a country are honoring a hero for the last time.
