  17. I agree with you 100%. He is the reason they've been in the games, and won the games that they have. But as you said, it will go to someone like Jagr or Forsberg. If they perform well in the playoffs, it's hard to argue that they aren't deserving of it, but as of now, Ovechkin should be the clear cut favorite.
  18. Unfortunately, Ovechkin has no supporting cast members on this team, and they are doomed not to make the playoffs. Winning the Hart when your team is not in the playoffs? Most likely won't happen unless his numbers get even better than what he has now. If he does stay on his current pace, he'll score in the 60's as far as goals for the year. Only Teemu Selanne has done better as a rookie. At this point, he's definitely the player he was projected to be.
  19. You said it.
  20. Thanks PCM.
  21. Regardless of the outcome of the meeting, there will still be problems. They can't eliminate students from drinking, which will always lead to misbehavior, and most likely lead to students having to leave the arena. It's funny how they hold the students to a higher stander than the other season ticket holders, but that's what $465 will do for you Number 3a will also be an issue as what seems like an event in a game that will bring me out of my seat, is probably different than a lot of people. True hockey fans tend to get excited about things that others don't necessarily see, simply because we are more in tune with the game, and we see it differently. I'm sure that the REA will also have arguments from current season ticket holders who do not want to move from their current seats, but will be forced to because of the move. It's really a no-win situation here for everyone involved. I'm sure it's not only an issue at REA, but at any sporting arena/stadium in the country.
  22. Do they clean the ice in true pond hockey fashion...using shovels?
  23. And it gives us something to jab about in the meantime
  24. Obviously, the NHL does not agree with you on this point.
