Only played in 3 games since the first of December, so he could/should be a bit shaky.

Lee takes a slashing call. I thought he made a good play, but Campion doesn't see it that way.

Sioux on a PP on a Chuko high stick.

I'm not sure, but I believe Woog just said "...the Sioux are a lot gooder than what they showed last night."
-
Sioux wearing black jerseys tonight. Any change is a good change!
-
Frazee in net for the Gophers tonight. Don't know if that will matter, need to get more than 12 shots on net.
-
Fabian sums up Sioux's season thus far in one sentence..."Talent isn't going to get you anywhere if you don't work hard."

Anyone catch Hak's pregame comments? I was at Hardee's.

I feel like I'm back in my first psychology class. What is normal?

I still watch that video on a regular basis. He obtained those mental problems through life's stresses, so I'm fine with that. Probably occurred the day he committed to the Gophs!

It doesn't surprise me that people make signs like this. I don't blame it on Gopher fans, as there are Sioux fans, Pioneer fans, CC fans, and every other type of fans who would do the same thing. The unfortunate here is that everyone knows what the "short bus" refers to. Society allowed that to happen. However, the majority of society have come to realize that this term isn't politically correct, but there will always be people who do this for whatever reason. In the past few weeks, I've seen people use the word "retard' right on this board, and I find that equally offensive. I work with students with mental retardation five days a week. They're not just at the mild level, but rather the severe level. These people spend their entire life behind the eight ball, simply because of their disability. To make things worse for them, people make fun of them on a regular basis. Behavior like this is unacceptable, and I wish that anyone who did display this type of behavior could spend one day in the life of one of my students, to educate them on the difficulty that people with disabilities have to go through every single day. Unfortunately, we'll just have to continue to put up with the hooligans.

I don't believe Phil had any intentions of sending the puck over the glass, into the stands. One poster stated earlier that "it was obvious" that Phil tried to do this. Unless you're Phil, you don't know what was going on in his mind. I've hit a kid with a puck before, right in the face, and it's not the best feeling. The kid ended up going to Altru to get quite a few stitches. It happened during a pick-up game of adults, and the kid jumped on the ice and went right in front of the shot, as soon as I released it. I didn't intend to hit the kid, but it happened. I can't change that. I felt terrible for weeks, and still do when I think about it. My point is that Phil did something, that he most likely regrets now. He can't change that it happened. We're all human, and we learn from mistakes. This isn't the first time a hockey player has done something like this and it won't be the last. The situation could have been a lot worse, but luckily for Phil, and UND, it wasn't. Now we need to pick up the pieces and move on. To sit here and argue with one another about whether it was right or not, is asinine. Personally, I'd like to forget last night all together. I really wish I was a drinker as maybe I wouldn't be remembering last night today!

Or maybe the entire student body at UND should boycott the university, which would therefore lead to the end of Fighting Sioux hockey. That would end the problem too. The students pay activities fee, and every other type of fee imaginable, on top of the price of their season tickets. I personally believe it should be like at the old Ralph, where students don't pay a thing to support their hockey team. The students have an argument here, and should have a say in things as well, as it's their university. Sitting down and saying nothing will do nothing for them. You can have all the alumni support in the world, but without students, you don't have a university. I'm not saying alumni support isn't important. However, the students bending over and grabbing their ankles isn't the answer either.

I've heard this somewhere before!

Hak's comments: "I don't think we turned a wheel all night." "One night you really feel bad for your goaltender." On the Potulny goal, "Drew Stafford didn't follow a play that's been drawn up on the board all week." "A step behind on everything tonight..." "Only two weeks off the break. We shouldn't be run down." "Looking for a consistent effort from the team. Tonight was like a step backwards in consistency." "Gotta come out tomorrow night and show some heart and character...bottom line." Couldn't agree more Hak.
-
Well, I'm glad this one is over. I think that's all I'll say, as everything else has pretty much been said by everyone on the board tonight!
-
That's what I call "non-fans". Saw the same thing when I was at UND, and I'd yell that at them I've never left a game early, and unfortunately, true fans just have to sit back and gut performances like we see tonight. I'm not happy, but I'm still watching.

Is he hot, or are the Dog's just shooting right at him like we did with the Anchorage goalie last Friday night?
-
I definitely don't condone this behavior, but it's something you'll see in virtually every college hockey arena in the nation.
-
Precisely! We're sick of it!
-
One of our few grinders is the guy who scored the goal, so we can't argue with that!
-
I live in TN! The only hockey I'm getting is via satellite
-
If I were Hak, I would look at my captains, and just walk out. They're the ones who need to take charge of this team.
-
This is just pathetic. If the Sioux stand up, you'll hear a loud pop, cause right now, there heads are in their arsses!
