The depth of this team showed this weekend - certainly when you compare it to CC who got the bulk of their scoring from their top line. That was the main positive I took away.

If I recall correctly, it took the Ralph a couple years to get the ice to where it is now. I remember a lot of complaints in the first couple of years about the ice not setting up very quickly and how slow it was. I'm sure every rink goes through a break-in/optimization process with their ice making, but it seems like the Ralph took an extraordinary amount of time to get it optimized.

It's probably because he's actually focusing on the game and doesn't have a color commentator to carry on a conversation with!

You're spot on. There were a couple of times where if he would have just made himself a little "bigger" he may have stopped a couple more. He looks tight right now, and he's getting beat an awful lot short-side and by some squeakers.
