  1. It actually aged perfectly. It had nothing to do with this series, but it did have to do with the fans reaction, check that some fans reactions. The wavelength of the variation from minute to minute game to game player to player played itself out perfectly. The accusations that I’m not in North Dakota fan aside, the comments regarding playing Homer started out like what the hell are they doing, to a masterstroke of coaching genius. Like I said wavelengths. Have a great day.
  2. Actually, no, you don’t get it. There are two truths here, the first is as everybody knows. I don’t share the same for disdain for Omaha. It’s been well documented of my connection through my wife. The second is, I don’t think of them as rivals nor do I think everyone should respect them. My original comment was that sometimes the vitriol on this board is comical. I might be wrong, but I think this weekend series is going to be tougher than some portrayed and I certainly don’t think any team in the NCHC is a pushover. Several on this board absolutely fit the description of “Jan’s”. Famous quote: prove me wrong! Colorado College looks to be every bit of force in the NCHC this year. Yet at the end of the day, they were swept at home.
  3. It’s not about expectations, it’s about reality. Nobody is as good as they think they are, and nobody is as bad as people think. These are division one hockey players and just like in football parity is not that far away. A lot of comments have been made about Omaha, but remember this Colorado College looks really good this year. They’re big, they’re fast, and they’re skilled. Omaha was definitely outmatched, but they converted when they had to, or, when the opportunity presented itself. I think it’s gonna be a really interesting weekend and I wish I could go down there at the game, but schedule is being schedules I’m stuck in Minnesota
  4. Say that if you will. Going back through the game notes that I’ve been reading, one miss pass, and this team isn’t going anywhere. One goal and this team is no longer what it used to be. I just find it comical how critical everybody is during the game and after the game, but before the game, you think we were in the national championship without doubt. Goon, I’ll use your wet blanket, to comment on every derogatory statement made during the games going forward. My bet is, I’ll grow tired of doing so.
  5. Just like we wanna be seen as an annual contender. I think it’s about time that we got over ourselves.

  7. That’s incorrect it was donated to Clarkson and placed at Walker Arena across the street from the main campus in 1972. I graduated in 1980, so I think I’ve got an inside on this.
  8. Obviously you haven’t seen Anthony Vikhter in action yet…
  9. The bell was donated by the fraternity that sits around it. It’s not associated with the college.
  10. Was at the game. Omaha gave UMass everything they could handle. The tying goal and the winning goal were both garbage.
  11. I thought that ref #19 (Anthony Vihkter) got axed… he’s awful!
  12. I watched the whole thing. It was interesting, the game seemed balanced with the exception of the fact that Minnesota couldn’t do anything in the ozone.
  13. You got sick of their fans, not of the hockey they played. They were a force there for a while.
  14. To be honest, I went to Clarkson University from 1976 to 1980. They played in Walker Arena, small facility with wood benches and wood floors in the stands. The place was absolutely electric. After I graduated, I returned for the Clarkson St. Lawrence game at the Cheel arena. Everything was concrete and it absorbed every sound. I was so disappointed in the event, time marches on.
  15. Here’s an NIL method that we should employ: Everybody gets the same amount x the winning percentage of the team for conference games. Everybody gets $2500 for each NCHC playoff win. Everybody gets $5000 for NCAA playoff birth. Everybody gets $10,000 for NCAA championship. or something like that…
  16. I don’t, but I also don’t know that he wasn’t.
  17. Perspective. Have you ever worked for a boss that you felt did not lead well or did things poorly? Did you quit the job because of it? Did you call his boss or her boss because of it? Jax was a loyal soldier, you can’t blame him for that. I mean you can, but what does it get you?
  18. Well, they’re young and have had a few drinks. You never know it was said and you don’t know what happened prior to the incident. Hell I remember 45 years ago, it didn’t take much.
  19. You mean actually build a team and keep it intact? How on earth would we do that? I really worry about the coaching situation. I worry about falling into a situation like Nebraska football, when were they relevant? Oh yeah 1995! I do concur with one idea, build it from the ground up.
  20. You didn’t see that when all this crap started? NIL and the portal is killing college football and we all knew that hockey was next.
  21. So far, my ESPN quits every like eight minutes. Does anybody else have that problem? I’ve got a Google TV.
  22. Especially those large turnovers of class. So if you bring in eight freshman and two portal players, basically half of your team has to get used to the system, the league, etc. etc. I would like to see nonconference spread through the year, then I think you would see a true balancing of the league Standards.
  23. NCHC tv has an abbreviated version
