  1. Complete reshuffle on defense. Maybe not the best idea with your backup goalie in as well. Could be an "interesting" game.
  2. Don't want to get into anything with any fan (not my thing). What my eyes did see tonight, though, was opportunistic execution whenever Omaha saw any little opening, almost without falter. On the flip side, I saw a lot of outside shots, with no net front, that were low percentage.
  3. You can attack posters on here as if they are somehow the problem, but I for one care about the program first. When I see a game where one team CLEARLY wanted it worse than the other, it bothers me. Hard work beats skill when skill does not work hard. Exactly tonight.
  4. I want to believe Persson is going to be great, but looking at his record, he starts strong and finishes weak. This season, not looking any different. However, he is not the problem. Poor focus and execution is the reason they lost tonight. Must have more jump tomorrow.
  5. Omaha wanted it. UND looked bored half the time.
  6. The team that wanted it most and had the most jump and focus won. End of story. No urgency for UND tonight. I thought they looked poor at basic stick handling and passing yet again, Wimpy.
  7. What about Zmolek being out? I think defensively, they look a bit sloppy tonight.
  8. Boys seem to be surprised that Omaha didn't just lie down and capitulate. Get some jump again!
  9. A strange game. AWOL in the first. Gangbusters in the 2nd. A bit weak in the 3rd. #1 GT out. Just a bit unsettling, even with the "W".
  10. Obviously, an understatement to say the 2nd was better. Why were they so dang flat in the 1st? Anyway, keep up the pressure in the 3rd, and put this one away.
  11. ...especially when he rattles on for 2 minutes while the game is on!
  12. How the hell can this team make basic passing and basic stick handling look so hard? Way to be prepared, boys.
  13. How the hell can one guy make the same fatal mistake in two consecutive OT's? Wow, Blake, just wow.
  14. I love that the Jammer line is now listed as #1, and they broke up the former #1 line. Send a message & try to get things back on track.
  15. One team was hungry and energetic. That was not UND. End of story.
  16. Blake flat out sucked tonight - turned the puck over more often than not. UND was sleepy overall, not sharp. Deserved to lose, frankly.
  17. What the hell is up with that pass inside our own blue line to the center of the ice? Can't do dumb plays like that - led directly to zone possession on the PP to bring it to 2-2.
  18. I've seen some wild comeback games over the years, but wow that was a fun ending. Denver looked simply faster at the beginning, and it took UND a while to get their legs going. An 8 game win streak is impressive, but I have to think maybe it ends tonight?
  19. Stickhandling and passing tonight was sub-par. The boys looked a step slow too - I found myself asking "where the hell is the oppostion"? (meaning, where are the green jerseys) too often. However, this team found a way to win, which they have been doing. Need to put a better start together tomorrow, but a good ending tonight.
  20. UND looks slow and sloppy, and unwilling to shoot.
  21. Maybe it puts a target on their back a little, but it also makes them a target for young guys seeking the best place to commit. And, this sure as hell beats last season, where we just watched their ranking plummet and plummet some more, until they were unranked.
  22. Nailed it. First time that our GT has looked "iffy", and the turnovers in our zone need working on. If Livanavage can't move that big forward from in front of the net, lift the stick or block the shot instead. I'm sure they'll cover that on film. Horrible reffing did not help. If Gaber's inadvertent trip during the 4x4 was called, then another three or four should have been called on Miami, especially the bearhug on Perron. 8-2-1 is a hell of a lot better than last year, though. Last season's team would have lost this game with 2.4 seconds to go.
  23. Good result for a good effort. Still coughing up the puck in our own zone too much, but the support to move the puck up ice was solid tonight. BU is as-advertised. Highly skilled upfront, but they aren't exactly great defensively. Their GT had a big weekend. Until the very last play, I was thinking "Blake has sure been quiet".
  24. Very winnable game tonight, but Ness took that dumb penalty, and a couple of "hope" type passes led to turnovers in our zone, at least one of which gave BU a goal. 90% of the time, they looked pretty good tonight. The 10% bit them.
