After imploding following the poor 5 X 3, I thought that would be tough to come back from. However, that 3rd period was the best period of the season - they looked more like old Hakstol north-south forecheck like crazy playoff style. Very impressive way to close out the series tonight.

Absolutely disastrous 5 X 3 leads to Omaha buzzing and getting an extremely predictable goal. God that power play was sad.

Did I hear Berry blasting Brandt for "continue talking about us"? Didn't seem light hearted, he seemed pissed. Anyway, what was the difference tonight? They came to play. Less mistakes (still too many times when I was yelling at my TV, though). More tenacity, more speed. To wrap up - if you don't appreciate Brandt saying your team was lackadaisical, then don't play lackadaisical.

...and the lines change again. This season has been ridiculous.

EPIC FAIL this season. Nothing else explains it.

Simply CAN'T understand how the team was flat in a game like this. They clearly have not learned a damn thing from earlier this season. MOST.. DISAPPOINTING...SEASON...EVER.

That period sucked. Totally dominated by CC after the first few minutes. This team looks terrible right now.

I certainly hope not. Special jerseys are a celebration of the program, IMO. If your current team has let the program down, put 'em away.

Very well said. In game threads this year, I have been guilty of venting big time, but in other threads I at least try to keep a longer term, less emotional perspective. This season has been a strange outlier for everyone involved, for sure. Players, coaches, fans are all at a loss about how poorly they have performed versus expectations, given the number of draftees and general talent/advantages they have as a team. I know these kind of seasons happen, but this is one of the most pronounced I've ever seen, and I'm not young to say the least! I would expect that Berry has basically one more shot to right the ship, but honestly, another season like this one, and the numbers have to speak for themselves at some point.

This game would have been no big deal if UND had not pissed away the first 2/3 of the season. Outshot a good opponent by more than two-to-one, had three posts, got one of three points and a tie in the NCAA pairwise. Only problem is, they DID piss away the first 2/3 of the season, so this is now another nail in the coffin.

The jump they played with in the 3rd has been missing all season. Where the hell has that pace been? Go do it again.

I couldn't have said it better. Also started watching as a 4 year old in the old freezer barn. I've never seen a season go south like this when expectations were so high, not just locally, but nationally. Likely to finish with a losing record. Dark days for the program.

Does anyone believe this team can do anything anymore? I can't imagine why. MOST DISAPPOINTING TEAM EVER.
