So several hours later, I have to say: This team is anything but hard to play against. They are soft on defense and only average on the forecheck. Goaltending is sub par. We keep seeing "peer" teams with better. East-West seems to be more of UND's system than "Get North". Especially in our own zone - opt to shove the puck across the zone (or just stand there and hesitate) and let it get turned over. This coaching staff has run its course. I hope we have meaningful change after the SECOND season where UND was ranked #4 preseason, but ended up (presumably) missing the playoffs. This era is done.

Will this team even end up with a winning record? I have my doubts now.
-
So a CC team that has struggled to score racks up 6 at UND on the road. UND's defense stinks.
-
The deer in the headlights play in our zone is pathetic.
-
How many UND shots missed the net wide or high in that period? Unbelievable.
-
What's up with Jammer?
-
Covfefe?
-
Wow, this team kinda stinks. #4 just belly flopped way too early and was an afterthought on Bump's goal
-
"Hard skill"? Not seeing that at all. A bunch of stick swinging and getting beat to puck battles, failed east-west passes. Just bad hockey.
-
Zero physicality in our zone. Weak D.
-
Can we STOP with the "Duh" plays in our zone?
-
I wouldn't say they played all-out yesterday. Definitely left something on the table. Tonight, it's more of the same mistakes - throwing the puck backward blindly in our own zone. No net front presence, because we can't get a sustained cycle going. Their GT is better than ours.
-
Was it Monty that threw the puck backwards instead of advancing and caused all that BS?
-
This was a nasty blow to the hope for playoffs. Must win tomorrow, or kiss this season goodbye.
-
UND was lucky to get 1 point tonight. They had some good offensive moments, but the hesitant passing while not skating is going to kill them every time. Move the damn puck NORTH!
-
Decent game, but some really poor play in the D zone. And Hobie needed that 2nd one.
-
Berg was in obvious pain on the bench just a minute ago.
-
Jammer's hit, IMO, was a poor choice in that he leaned in with the shoulder after the puck was gone. However, I don't think he meant to make contact with the head - looked to me like the ASU player moved to a head first position at the last moment.
-
This was a frustrating series to watch. So many sloppy plays and dumb moves. However, I would say that they looked much better after going down 2-3, and we can at least hope that they will continue playing THAT way (not yesterday's way) going forward.
-
So, after what looked like a horrible start to me, they have had better passing and jump lately. That play by Hobie was absolutely brutal, though. UND will be lucky if that doesn't decide the game.
-
That was probably the most horrific looking PP I've seen in a while.
-
Anyone else having to endure closed caption on NCHC.tv that can't be turned off?
-
I said it in last week's exhibition, they won but they looked slow and sloppy to me. Even with a warm up game before heading to ASU, they looked about the same to me yesterday. By the time this team gets this sorted out, it will be far too late, I'm afraid.

From tonight's Herald article... Berg said. "Right now, we're not scoring enough goals to outscore our mistakes.
