CLASSIC!
-
I am still here and will always be a Sioux fan, win or lose. This team can still go on a run and win it all. I will say what many have said: this was the youngest team in the WCHA before Chay Genoway got hurt.
-
Agreed, the crowd needs to be loud from pregame all the way til the end. GO SIOUX!
-
I like this quote from Chambers: The Badgers' lively student section undoubtedly made it a difficult place to play for the Pioneers. But the atmosphere in Madison will be considered tame compared with the expected antics that will unfold this weekend against North Dakota in Grand Forks. To this I say: YOU BETCHA!!!

If folks are having a hard time getting tickets for this weekend...there are some available on stubhub and on craigslist. I picked up an extra pair on stubhub for 75 each with shipping.

Drunk posting is bad posting. Look at the time of my post, along with the fact that I am a Vikings fan...and that will tell you the state of mind I was in. It is like that wasn't even me posting! My apologies to all.
-
Again..with all due respect...win a title...I mean ONE title...and maybe I will speak to you. Harsh? Yes....but that is REAL.
-
Dude, with all due respect...you (Cornell) is equivalent to a 5th place squad in WCHA. St Cloud, UMD, CC, Denver, UMN- Twin Cities, Mankato, all have tougher or equal places to play. Your 4200 seat arena has some character...but nothing different than 4-8 teams in the WCHA. I agree with others, ECAC should be name ECEZ. (easy)
-
I'm expecting some awesome signs next weekend...it's gonna be fun.
-
Good win for our favorite squad. BRING ON DU! Fans, get there early, get loud, get some booze in you if that is what makes you loud...this is the biggest series of the year! GO SIOUX!!!!!
-
I was thinking that was you and JFR. Pretty cool!
-
Gophers just survived a crossbar then post. (2 double posts in consecutive weekends) That is the 2nd post i've seen in the limited channel flips I've watched that game tonight. Also, Sioux women lose to SD
-
Yeah if they haven't started...they are probably preparing for next semester's classes! Ok, enough of the ivy jokes.
-
Maybe they are studying.
-
Lets see what Mr. Dell can do. GO SIOUX!
-
Agree. I was at the games at Mariucci, there were times that we should have scored in bunches, but couldn't. Too many shots either right into Kangas, or above the net. How bout some puck luck?
-
Come on Sioux! Need a road win tonight. I agree with the previous poster...I have NO IDEA what to expect.

As far as seats in the 10,000 seat Mariucci, what are people's prediction on the percentage of: 1-Gopher fans 2-Sioux fans 3-Empty corporate and student section seats? My best shot at a guess (been there only once): 75 20 5 What do the gopher fans and "John" vets think?
-
Who will you cheer for? I will be there both nights cheering on our UNIVERSITY OF NORTH DAKOTA FIGHTINNNNNGGGGG SIOOOOOOOOOUX!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just read Cardinal's preview on gopherpuck. Just wanted to say that I appreciated his insight. I know you read this board and comment occasionally. Nowhere in that long writeup was there a jab at the state of ND, jabs about "25 year old Canadians", Mullets, etc. There was ACTUAL HOCKEY KNOWLEDGE! Facts were abundant, which is refreshing. I am big about reading opponent sites and newspapers to get "the other side" of things. Good article Cardinal. I should add that I didn't mean Cardinal has written crappy stuff in the past, but "others" have, including Mr. Roman A. of the Strib.
-
For people with standing room only tickets...what time should we arrive? Right when the doors open? Are there designated "standing" areas? What section do they typically put sioux fans in who have seats? Our hope is that we can find empty seats somewhere near the Sioux section and sit there.

I know what you are saying...but in a rivalry series, the cliche' is: "anything can happen". UND is the youngest team in the WCHA, and that was before taking Genoway out of the lineup. Having Hextall out is also huge, he is an agitator, but was playing his best hockey of the season in the weeks before he got hurt. Corbin Knight scores 2 goals after having 1 the entire season, and gets hurt pursing the hatty, on a leg to the post and is out 4-6 weeks. This UND squad is very balanced, and if they can learn to hold onto 2 goal leads, could be very scary. Looking forward to the series. I'll be making the trip for the first time in 5 years. That time, we only went to 1 game and didn't hang out before or after the game in the bars around the arena.

How are Sioux fans generally treated in that area around the arena? Is it similar to the Final Five?
