  1. This is from another thread, but I still want to suggest it. I think people could change them and make them better, and I think it would be easier to chant than Who's He and Who Cares.
  2. Too bad Brandt got the blame in the paper for making one mistake, when the team made several and J Par sucked it up the next night. If CB wants a goalie to carry the team, then he needs to work on his recruiting.
  3. Sieve and non-factor are profane cheers? If you are going to try to read everything so literally, try reading it correctly.
  4. I think CB should promote the three point system. I don't think the shootout will take, but I would offer one point for both teams getting the tie. I think that would stop some teams from just doing the trap or clutch-and-grab play to get to OT.
  5. I never said it was positive. It is part of the atmosphere though, and many posts recognize it has been there for a long time. Everyone needs to realize that if we do any of the cheers suggested (sieve, non-factor, etc.), it is still a negative cheer and against the sportsmanship disclaimer they read off all the time. So we are really just trying to change the degree of negativity.
  6. I thought it was PCM vs. the students. My main concern is the timing of everything. It seems like after playing Wisconsin, we are more energetic than usual to get the crowd more into the game. At the same time, we are trying to remove some of the atmosphere. Even though it isn't technically directed at just the students, Chucky pointed it at the students. It will be hard for the students to get the public more into the game if we are seen as bad or having no credibility. I hope that everyone can pull together for a good finish of the season.
  7. I was told that FECHIK was registered to a WPoS, sagard, Greyeagle, and TC Transplant.
  8. We could use it somehow. I would think YaneA could think of something with how creative she is. The only thing that I can think of tonight that would be somewhat intimidating, is if the whole crowd repeatedly yelled, "Sieve" for the goalie, "Swiss Cheese Defense" for the defensemen, and "Fifth Line Players" for the forwards. I'm sure there are people that are much more creative than I am.
  9. That is what the Badgers do, and I don't think we should copy them. We should be able to think of something more creative than that.
  10. UND students can see the movie free tonight at 11:59. I have a test at 9 am, so I won't be able to go.
  11. I admit to being the first chicken. I think the team has played poorly for the last month, and I don't think CB has done his job well. I know he can turn the team around, and I know the players can play well enough to win. That doesn't mean it will happen, so I will wait and see.
  12. Congratulations! I heard you won the Kollar jersey you wanted so bad.
  13. It would be great if we could get everyone doing the same cheer. I also wish the goal horn would be louder, like it is at Madison.
  14. 1. I meant that the halls were noisy Thursday night. It may or may not have been the players. 2. I managed to only see one cop, and I slowed down in time. 3. I consider the Kohl Center to be a basketball arena, and not a hockey arena. They were so proud of it being their first game sold out ahead of time, yet there were hundreds of open seats. 4. I don't know why the fans were so quiet. The last two years were much louder for the Sioux fans. After the home of the Sioux, they were quiet. It would have been nice if the fans were louder, especially since the home crowd is so loud. 5. I don't think the crowd affected us, but it did motivate the Badgers. I think the players were intimidated by the physical (and sometime cheap) play more than anything. Brady definitely wasn't affected. 6. I think that everything about this weekend, with the exception of CB's comments on Brandt, can be a good thing. After all of these losses and ties, I'm not sure the players realized how poorly they have been playing. It is time for them to realize that they are going to have a lot of tough games ahead of them, and they are not always going to have a loud fan base cheering for them. It will definitely take CB doing a good job to get the team turned around. I think we should have a pretty easy schedule with the remainder of the season, so it is time to get everything going well. Our only tough series is going into UMD, and that will be our time to show if we are going anywhere during the playoffs.
  15. This is for the people that enjoy reading about weekend trips. I think it is time you get the facts, and not the cheesehead view of the world. Friday CB
  16. The Pioneers sure played a lot of games last weekend.
  17. I have seen their new advertisement for this. The question is, what is the download speed? Upstream is not that important to some people.
  18. That is yesterday's news for those that were willing to read about the students getting screwed. http://siouxsports.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1945&st=40
  19. I'm not trying to cause problems, I'm just telling you what I have found. I have been following the ticket situation for a couple of months since I am going to the games. You can go online right now and buy tickets for Saturday night, thus it is not sold out.
  20. I know it has been reported elsewhere about Saturday being sold out, but there are still tickets left. Friday is not really that close to selling out. It should still be good crowds though.
  21. For those of you taking the time to read my post, there is going to be a video feed of the Saturday game. I'm not sure if it is free since there is no link. It doesn't sound like people can get the game on the dish, but hopefully it will be put on TV locally. If not, it is on the right. Saturday Video Feed
  22. I am just going to go sit in the student section at the Kohl Center this week. Their atmosphere destroys the new REA. They stand as much as they want, get together on cheers, and just have a great time. I love UND hockey, and I love the Red Wings. The NHL is going to be ruined with a lockout. I am starting to hate college hockey with the UND crap and the way the WCHA (especially officials) deals with things. Why do people have to mess with the best sport in the world?
  23. Even if he doesn't know about the student suite, he should understand that it is another area where the students were screwed. Did you acknowledge that the atmosphere has been the best when the students are standing?
  24. I saw Chucky walking at one of the hockey games. He was looking down and avoiding eye contact with everyone. Baker would have said hi, as well as CB. CB was always friendly at the old arena when students would go inside to warm up during the long wait for Gopher games. I also ran into him in the exercise room the team hotel in Madison. Very friendly. It is interesting to see the Herald jump on the bandwagon and complain about students. Every article I have seen from the Herald has been negative regarding the students. Is their suite behind the students?
