  1. Next on the list is Larry the Cable Guy
  2. We're definitely more great than racist. But these two terms aren't necessarily mutually exclusive.
  3. If the GOP was given a blank check they’d impose their ideals of family life, sexual relations, accommodationism, drugs, right to choose, school prayer, sex education, protest restrictions, etc, etc, on everybody. Freedom be damned. Fortunately we have checks and balances whereby enacting most of that stuff isn't even possible. For this same reason (despite the scare tactic) the vast majority of Dems 'restrictive ideals' will never come to fruition either. But whatever, “the Dems will take away all your freedom" rhetoric always works with the simple minded.
  4. Funny this doesn’t mention the plethora of social restrictions conservatives want to impose on the populace. Imagine that. But, whatever.....Freedom!!!!. Yea ok Same stick as the democrats, different end. But keep on with the Trump-Reagan shtick. Meanwhile, in the real world, the Ronald Reagan Foundation told Trump to **** off and stop using Reagan’s likeness next to him.
  5. Why do I have to keep going over this? Many of our most important industries rely on undocumented workers for survival. If we get rid of this cheap labor force the economy would thoroughly tank. It's why, despite record high unemployment, Trump has expanded the guest-worker program, which is conveniently the easiest thing in the world for applicants to swindle and stay here forever. "America for Americans", right? lol I'll say it for the millionth time. If Trump was serious about border security the answer is quite simple. Crack down mercilessly on US companies hiring illegal workers. With no employment available it would cut illegal immigration exponentially. It’s basic supply/demand. But for obvious reasons Trump will not enact this measure. Instead, he’ll throw his base a bone by building an insignificant portion of the wall, has ICE detain some hapless illegals here and there, complains about sanctuary cities, etc. And his base eats it up like candy. Lather, rinse, repeat.
  6. -Taking sides with a foreign power against domestic apposition. check -Detention of journalists check -Loss of press access to the White House check -Use of government power to target opposition for retribution. check -Rhetoric that incites violence against political opposition. check We're getting there.
  7. As I pointed out before, Trump has no intention of realistically controlling the border. You people are being played.
  8. Reagan was the antithesis of nationalism/protectionism. His and Trump's foreign policy ethos couldn't be more different. Reagan was all about free trade. I can't envision Reagan gassing peaceful protesters. Reagan actually granted amnesty for all Illegal immigrants who entered the country before 1982.
  9. Good you found 2. You have a couple hundred more to go to reach the Republican level voting Dem this election. Keep searching!
  10. We're talking government/ex-government officials here, perhaps I should of made that clearer. There are many traditional Republicans voting Dem this election. Where are the Dem officials voting Trump at?
  11. Of course Trump is. That's not the point though. The point is national populism has invaded the right-wing. It's left-wing equivalent has not invaded the left to the same degree. Hillary and Biden are the pure definition of 'same old, same old'.
  12. Not really. Both parties have shifted towards the extreme, but the right-wing has shifted more. Bernie is the left-wing equivalent of Trump on the political spectrum......both movements spawned by populism. Yet it was/is Hillary and Biden on the ticket. Traditionalists. The chaos in the WH is also driving some traditional Republicans away. We are in a time of crisis; the least we should expect from the President is stability and maturity. Yet the WH resembles the Apprentice or a WWE match more than it does the Presidency.
  13. Those holdout Republicans have no interest in advancing the agenda of a party led by the fringe elements. Unlike the democrats (Biden is Dem traditionalist; pure establishment), the populists have a full stranglehold on the Republican Party. Other than some economic similarities, today's GOP is quite different than what it was under Reagan. Those dissenting Republicans are the definition of Country over Party; a term virtually lost in today's political climate.
  14. Yea, I honestly thought the 'conspiracy' and 'deep state’ stuff was just rhetoric used by Trump and his minions. I had no clue there existed an actual conservative movement promoting it. Just looked up QAnon. WTF? So Trump is fighting a US shadow government comprised of satan-worshiping pedophiles? The Mueller investigation was actually an under-cover operation by Trump and Mueller to prevent a coup initiated by Obama? A day of reckoning will occur when all anti-Trump forces will be arrested and executed, Hillary being one of them? And, true to form, several candidates for Congress have supported QAnon.......one of which has a reasonable chance at winning, Marjorie Taylor Greene in Georgia. Wow, just wow.
  15. There’s no need for the Dems to push Biden to the forefront. This election is a referendum on Trump and this country is a disaster. We’re pushing 200K Covid dead, unemployment, race riots, protests, divisiveness, etc. And on top of that the White House resembles a sleazy reality TV show. Basically, it’s operation “let Trump self-destruct”. Everyone but the Trump Trash realizes the political landscape has changed since 2016. Like I said, we’re in crazy times with an unprecedented amount of Republican officials voting Democrat. We’ve never seen this before. Christ almighty, hundreds from the GWB administration have formed a pro-Biden PAC.
  16. I'd say the majority of American’s do care about Trump's antics; but whether that parlays itself into votes against Trump has yet to be seen. I mean we’re witnessing an unprecedented amount of Republican ex-government officials switching sides for this election; not for political reasons but because Trump has turned the White House into a joke. Trump’s PR handlers are keenly aware of this. It’s why they're, to the best of their abilities, saving Trump from himself by limiting his face time in front of the nation. Those daily Covid briefings are a good example. Those were thorough Trump ****shows that were swiftly put to an end.
  17. It's time to include another person to the 'loser' list. How about Trump's own sister. “All he wants to do is appeal to his base,” Barry reportedly said in the audio. “He has no principles. None. None. And his base, I mean my God, if you were a religious person, you want to help people. Not do this.” "His goddamned tweet and lying, oh my God,” she said. “I’m talking too freely, but you know. The change of stories. The lack of preparation. The lying. Holy !@#$.” https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/513255-trumps-sister-says-president-has-no-principles-lies-in-secretly The comedy just writes itself.
  18. I never said they were the same. I said Wisconsin wasn't significanty less restrictive as it pertained to the statistics Goon posted. The Wisconsin counties enacting less restrictions tend to be conservative and rural. and aren't gonna make too much of a dent statistic wise.
  19. This model has New York going Red? Well alrighty then
  20. Significantly more relaxed restrictions? BS Sure WI state mandates are more relaxed (Evers has his hands tied), but local governments are stepping up to the plate and issuing stringent safety measures. I mean the by far most dense and populated places here (Milwaukee and Dane County) have restrictions no less than Minnesota.
  21. It's all a hoax! Fake news!
  22. Well, ok. You just illustrated the legal justifications the government has to enact policies for national security reasons. That said, there exists countless options and methods the government has to achieve as such, nor does everybody agree on what constitutes national security in many situations – even insofar as border security is concerned. This is because, even though the Constitution guarantees security, beyond acts of war/invasion/etc it is somewhat vague on what the definition of 'threat to the nation’ is; particularly in terms of today's threats. Nevertheless, I understand your point. Many conservatives deem the current situation at the border so dangerous that; 1. ,A wall is the only method to secure us; 2. they are willing to give up freedom to achieve as such. Other issues of national security (Covid being one of them)? not so much. Fair opinion though. Thanks much for the reply.
  23. What’s more interesting is the situation in Belarus. It’s in America's interest to drive Belarus away from Russian influence. At the very least we should be going 100% all in on verbally supporting democratic protests against Lukashenko. This isn't novel or difficult stuff here. Yet the Donald is currently punting the football with a ‘we’ll see what happens’ attitude. I'm thinking he doesn't want to cross Putin, and/or the (for obvious reasons) praise protesters mobilizing against a leader at this current time.
  24. I have a hard time believing you have any teeth. Yesiree, ad hominem arguments are fun!
