  1. What constitutional right are you talking about here? Please tell me.
  2. It's funny how Trump's base despises the 'Elitist Hollywood' attitude and ethos; yet Trump is the pure definition of it.
  3. Another example of why no trust exists towards cops in inner cities. EDIT: Apparently more than one militia group was at the protest. One of them (just there to protect property) became furious at police when told to 'help handle the protesters'. (2nd video clip)
  4. A random and nameless guy with a semi-southern accent going on and on about god calling in to cspan. Damn, you got me. I'm convinced. Trump for the WIN!!!!!
  5. Bull****. Everyone knows US Intelligence is part of the conspiracy.
  6. Sadly, Trump playing the 'violence card' actually escalates the problem because it eggs on the idiot kids who cause violence and are too stupid to realize they're being politically played. This country needs a time-out. We all need to take a step back to breathe. Unity is needed more than anything now. Unfortunately Trump has no interest whatsoever in national unity; his entire shtick is playing to our divisions. I think Biden wants unity, but the Dems are too incompetent to achieve as such. How we move forward from this disaster of a Presidency I don't know.
  7. Yes. Despite the large number of firearms in the country, the majority of households don't have guns; nor do the majority of Americans own guns.
  8. Milwaukee Bucks just cancelled their game in protest of the incidents in Kenosha. Trump won't like this. Let's see if he tweets about the blacks not doing what they're supposed to do.
  9. No it hasn't. The majority of Americans don't even have guns.
  10. I never said as such. As I stated before, the vast, vast, majority of Americans aren't dealing with violent protesters.
  11. You know exactly what I'm talking about. It illustrates the extreme nature of these rural places relative to the rest of the country. No different than how anti-abortion protesters trespassing in friggin' Berkeley CA would be shown the door waaay faster than they would in most other places. In most of America it's not normal to have a gun pointed at you for being in someones yard.
  12. Collectively they tend to be just as extreme as hollywood types; especially when you get to the level of more pickups with gun racks on Main Street than cars. Let's not play stupid here. Anyhow, considering the conversation started with "protesters wouldn't last 4 seconds in Montana" rhetoric, it kinda proves my point.
  13. Given the choice I'd rather spend by time with neither. On a collective level these populations (on both sides of the isle) exist in a bubble and tend to encompass the political extremes of society.
  14. Pickups with gun racks on main street = good. Hollywood types = bad. Jesus Christ, there's like 14 teeth total on the conservative side of this board.
  15. Ha! If this kid supported Antifa or BLM and killed conservative protesters the Cult would absolutely lose their ****.
  16. There’s no such thing as a ‘silent majority’. That’s a buzzword. 2/3 of the country will vote Dem/Rep, that’s a given. The middle 1/3 will waiver back and forth. By and large we know how the 1/3rd will vote; but it's not foolproof (see 2016). But 2016 was a bit of an anomaly considering Trump was a complete novelty in American politics. I think everyone was caught off guard. That said, Clinton still won the popular vote, so it's not like Trump garnered overwhelming 'majority'. Either way, we now have a better reading and understanding of the demographic and reasons that people within this 1/3 voted Trump, and thus can more accurately zero-in on specifics for prediction purposes.
  17. It's all politics. Are rioters a problem? Sure. But the vast, vast, vast majority of Americans aren't dealing with/nor even coming into contact with violent protesters. Rioters aren't affecting average Joe's life whatsoever. Will the "Vote Biden and your wife will be raped by Antifa" shtick work? I think it'll move votes somewhat (it already is starting to) but not significantly. We'll see come November.
  18. Yea I've seen this, the Trumpsters have been parading this poll around like it's the bible. We'll see.
  19. I suppose that's one excuse. Any others?
  20. Well ok, that's 1 poll. If we look at polls collectively, Biden has a good advantage. Does this mean he'll win? Of course not. But more often than not polls collectively predict the winner.
  21. Anyone who approves of any killing is among the LCD of society.
  22. Well, yea. The 'law and order' schtick is what the GOP is putting front and center; they have little else to run on so they need to exaggerate threats. Not that the Dems aren't exaggerating the Covid threat too. That said, this country is a current disaster. I doubt the "Vote Biden and the darkies will burn your house down" rhetoric will be enough to win. We'll see though.
  23. Great, just great. Looks like right-wing militia members shot protesters in Kenosha, 2 dead. Apparently a 'call to arms' had been circulating around social media.
  24. Gotta agree with this. I think they’ll be let off. The DA is overreaching. That said, legal ≠ responsible. Just because a particular act is legal doesn't make it the smartest thing to do; which is why many people are shaking their heads at the GOP for choosing these idiots to speak. Who's next, George Zimmerman? Sure, the GOP can say it's an issue of gun rights (which it is), but we'd be remiss if we didn't acknowledge the huge political undercurrent of parading people around who pointed guns at protesters.
