I agree, good play by play, but the color guy makes Ed Schultz understandable

Anyone listening to TH yet. My audio is terrible.
  3. For those of you with a dataflix package, you've probably received the "technical difficulties" email. For those that don't have a package, no need to buy the game tonight, it won't be on. They may or may not have things working by tomorrow.
  4. Czechs have beaten Slovakia this morning so Canada will face the same team in the semis. Russia/Finland starts shortly.
  5. I confess, it was me They were accused, now they're convicted.
  6. The semifinal game is currently scheduled for Saturday at 6:30AM Central. However, if Finland beats Russia, the game is moved to 10:30AM Central, and Canada plays the early semifinal. Home team gets the later game, if home team is in it; means an even bigger homer crowd if Finland gets there.
  7. Chucko reportedly committed to MN on Monday.

  10. The Sioux will see lots of Olympic ice the second half, so the World Center big ice shouldn't be a problem if they play well prior to that. At least the Michigan regional isn't in Yost. A WCHA team eventually has to beat Michigan in Michigan, maybe this is the year. At any rate, there are too many games to play to worry about placement yet. Finishing as a #1 seed would be great.
  11. Not sure how the tiebreaker worked out but it's: US vs Finland/Russia Canada vs Slovakia/Czechs
  12. The O'Sullivan line was line 1 in the prelim. Finland game, but the Parise line has been 1 since the tourney started. Eaves rolls four lines even strength, but plays the top two lines on the PP and PK.
  13. Apparently the next US game will be televised on tape delay in the US the following weekend, after the team is home. No mention of what network?
  14. Correct. If Slovakia wins their game that is just starting, they will be tied with Russia in Pool A, with the head to head a tie also. Have no idea what the next tiebreakers are, but if Russia ends up third in the A pool, US could see them again on Saturday.
  15. Had to expect Russia would get a 2 man advantage since the US did. Now Wisniewski goes, this 2 man advantage will last forever.
  16. Not what I said but very close
  17. ZP is extending his point lead in the tourney, 3 today, Canada's Stewart has 1 so far, and we know how many Ovechkin has.
  18. The Brown broadcaster complained about it constantly both games.
  19. With Canada leading 4-1, looks like the championship round is shaping up like this: US vs Finland/Slovakia Canada vs Russia/Czechs Interesting matchups; probably US facing the team that beat them prior to the tourney starting (home team Finland) and Canada facing the Russians, who beat them in last year's gold medal game. Don't know if we'd want the WCHA called like this (about 20 penalties already), but it does showcase the talent of these young players. This is consistent, however, sounds like all penalties are called, nothing goes.
  20. DSL went down again right at the start of the 5 on 3 Looks like the specialty teams are clicking. Referee has an apparent quick whistle today, better keep the sticks down. ZP cleans up on the PP again. Hope it continues when WCHA resumes
  21. If the US loses, they play a crossover (quarterfinal) game to make the medal round. THe loser of this game (or Russia if a tie) finishes #2 in the A pool and plays #3 from the B pool in a quarterfinal game.
  22. Good stories; I remember seeing Thomas Steen play for the Jets. Maybe Brady should have looked up the son in the motel and talked him into college Should head over to USCHO and start a "where will Alexander Steen" commit thread.
  23. NOt in pool play. If it happens it will happen in the medal round, which starts Jan. 2. If the US and Canada finish first in their pools, they wouldn't meet unless they both make it to the gold medal game (or the bronze medal game if both lose in the semi's). The medal round brackets will be set tomorrow following the US/Russia, Canada/Czech, Finland/Switzerland, Sweden/Slovakia games. The Rangers web site has a good page on results, standings and game schedule. The Canadian TV shedule shows the Quarterfinal #1 game televized, which would match A2 against B3 on Jan 2 (if the US loses to Russia, they would be A2). The US could also meet Canada in a semifinal game if one of them finishes second in their pool.
  24. Would seem possible that Canadian TV would pick up that game, but, probably not, since Canada plays the Czechs at the same time. That's probably what you'll get on Center Ice.
  25. ZPar takes back the tourney point lead with 2 assists. ZPar 4-4-8 Stewart, Canada 4-3-7 Ovechkin 3-2-5 jk, you are correct The Russia game - tomorrow morning at 8AM.
