  1. Blais in the post game was not happy with Prpich's undisciplined penalties, the double minor going after Fornier, I guess. He said Prpich would miss tonight's game. Guess we'll see Palmiscno or Massen.
  2. UAA did a major holding and tackling job that period, whenever the Sioux got the cycling going. It is being let go. Unfortunately the one time the Sioux held (the stick), Schneider is given the penalty. To the Sioux's credit, the UAA players aren't big/strong enough to take them down, no matter how hard they try Prpich tried to get Fornier to go, but Fornier did his Claude Lemieux turtling imitation. Parise line has been all over UAA every shift. Fourth line doing well also. The second and third line need to move their feet and get into position to make short passes throught the neutral zone. They've been sluggish all game so far. Maybe the scrum will get all the Sioux forwards going.
  3. You should be able to right click on the media window, select zoom, then take your pick. If that's not available, try changing your resolution to something larger, ie 800x600
  4. GFH article UND will make the three available to the public Sunday at a two-hour special photograph and autograph sessions involving Parise, Murray and Stafford at Engelstad Arena. The event will run from 1 to 3 p.m. in the arena lobby. The three will wear their Team USA jerseys. The event is free and autograph cards will be provided.
  5. It's not the size of the ship, it's the motion of the ocean? I grew up on USCHO, where "quality" isn't a factor in any thread.
  6. Ok, thanks to the little people, whomever they may be. Dagies and I will soon be passed, anyway.
  7. Here's hockeys future take on ZP. The Devils will be patient with this future star, and will likely let him play at least 2 more seasons at the NCAA level before he turns pro. This profile was posted in September so anything could change after the WJC performance and how he does the remainder of the season. Then there is the CBA, etc, etc, etc, already discussed at length. At any rate, the decision is between ZP and the Devils. Shooter hasn't a clue, and yes, no doubt wishful thinking. Hockey'sfuture profiles NJ's #1 prospect
  8. You've got to be kidding. Must have been that vacation over Christmas with nothing to hunt (due to snow up to my um...... eyeballs) I see I have a 5 day lead on you based on the day of registration though.

    Clueless

If I remember correctly he left after the 2000 championship? If my memory is still correct, I think Deano said we would have won the 2001 game had he played. I'm always wrong though.

    Unbelievably amazing, isn't it?
  11. The Ralph site has game time at 7:05, the UND athletic site 7:35. Who's right?

  13. From D. Booth's last journal entry after the tourney was complete: I would like to thank everybody at USA Hockey for all they have done and for the coaches who let the players come and be a part of this amazing experience, especially Michigan's Red Berenson, North Dakota's Dean Blais, and Michigan State's Rick Comley for letting three players make the trip out here. That's appreciated a bunch
  14. You can't be the guy who single-handedly got two USCHO threads on this weekend's series deleted, could you. I guess DTP helped, to be fair. The admin over there doesn't appear to like Fornier Fat posts.
  15. That is good news. THe semifinal on Saturday, the final on Monday, both on FoxN.
  16. It was available here a short time ago, but I'm guessing it's not been up since the admin is using an alternate (temporary) server.
  17. Shut down NIS and try it. Also, did you ugrade WMP to version 9?
  18. Looking at Dirty's quoting you before you edited, you ended up with a parenthesis inside the url code. Very good video.
  19. Was wondering why I kept hearing Kesler with Parise and Stafford with O'Sullivan. Here's an excerpt from a news release that tells about the changes Canada made to start the game to contain the Parise line and Eaves changes for the third period: Canada did a nice job shutting down tournament MVP Zach Parise in the first two periods, playing its top quintet of Getzlaf, Jeff Carter, Brent Burns, Dion Phaneuf and Derek Meech against the Americans' first unit in order to force Parise to backcheck more vigorously. But a strategy change by Team USA head coach Mike Eaves in the second intermission changed the flow of the game. Eaves sent Dan Richmond, Mark Stuart, Suter and Jim Wisniewski up ice more frequently from their rearguard positions, and moved Ryan Kesler from the second line to the first, dropping Brady Murray off the left wing in order to pair Kesler with Parise and Stephen Werner. That new top line, in addition to the second line of Patrick Eaves, O'Sullivan and Drew Stafford, was responsible for creating more scoring chances in the third period than the Americans had in the first two combined. Kesler replaced Murray on line one and Stafford was moved up from line 4 to line 2 to replace Kesler. Stafford must have impressed Eaves somewhere along the line to get moved into this position with the game on the line. In addition, check the size of Kesler and Stafford, obviously a factor in forechecking the very big Canadian Dmen. Kesler 6'2" 195 Stafford 6'2" 200 The above comes from another article on SI
  20. New Releases: USA Today - Stafford, Potter, and O'Sullivan Celebrate the GWG CNN/SI Thunder Bay Post Several other links on Google News The pic is too good, gotta post it:

  22. According to the Canadian announcers, yes. They said he made the play.
  23. Way to go US. Sounded like ZP was double shifted in the third. He was definitely out there with different forwards at times than he played with in the rest of the tourney. Did Eaves shorten the bench in the third? Anyone that watched on Center Ice? Glad they won, this is the only chance we have to get some media (TV) coverage in the US next year. Stewart and Dawes of Canada end up tied in tourney points with Parise, unless they change the scoring and give him the deserved assist on the third period goal. No matter, US has the gold.
  24. Thanks, that one works.
  25. Goals. Dawes from Stewart Fritshe from Richmond and Moore Dawes from Richards and Stewart
