probably, bummed that they took the HD truck to the TC and we won't get so see MDU in HD.

Anyone know who offers ESPNU in HD. Dish doesn't.

That sure did look like the best regional to get into; I don't see why AF can't get to the FF.

These two teams are a great example of why you never want to see playoffs (or any other teams other than the 70s Russian Red Army) on big ice. Denver looked the same way last weekend, but so did Wisco when they played Denver. Guess they'd like their opponents to fall asleep like the crowd (if there was one).

ESPNU is an add on with the directtv sports pack. It's part of the classic 250 package on dish.

If it hadn't been post season, he likely would have got the beat down he deserved. I thought Watkins left a big hole on that line, as he and Zajac are great on the forecheck and cycling the puck. It's been them that often get the things going the Sioux way when the team is struggling. Not to mention the Zajac/Watkins PK. Sioux need him to be ready to play.

Not necessarily; when he turns his back to the play to stop the puck behind the net, it's up to the dman to let him know what to do withthe puck, if leaving it there is the wrong thing to do (as it was once in each game). A communication failure; something you seldom see that results in two goals.

For sure; bummed me out when the Sioux were not picked for the tourney in 1983 during the smoke filled room days, with the FF at Grand Forks. Would have been bummed again if the Sioux hadn't made the tourney when the regional was in GF a couple years ago. Stinks to have an NCAA tourney in town and not be in it. Unreal that only one team (#16 Wisco) was displaced by an autobid; top 15 are in.

Shocking that ESPN will not be shipping the regionals off to the Fox Sports Nets this year; all games on ESPN2 and ESPNU. Wonder if they'll take a HD truck to the BU region? So much for the usefulness of the multi-sports pak from Dish

The bad omen; the last three 3rd place game losers have lost in the first game of the regionals; MN, SCSU, CC. Long stretches of poor intensity, with quite a few Sioux just along as baggage this weekend led to what looked like a lack in depth. They had a lot of intensity against MD, just couldn't get the puck on stick when looking at a gaping net. Bounces have been going the Sioux way since Christmas, but not this weekend. Not so good in intensity for portions of the game against Wisco.

It's not listed on dishnetwork's FSNN HD.

While I don't have a problem with a coach complaining about the officiating, it's rings hollow coming from Schaeffer. His Cornell teams have perfected the obstruction game, so his having a problem with an opponent playing the Cornell game and getting away with it is over the top. What does he want, allow Cornell to obstruct while not allowing the opponent to do the same. He should be made to sit down and watch a tape of game 2 of the Cornell/Sioux series, then complain about the lack of calls by the rules.

No conflict, Sioux play Friday night at 7PM, although many may want to watch Wisco/Denver at 2PM. Room for all three, I'd guess, although the dome and the Excel aren't in the same neighborhood (or city for that matter).

Yes, 1 vs 4/5 is Friday night, unless MN is a 2/3 and wins, which they are not (not sure this rule is in effect, but this year it doesn't matter)
