  1. Right, only vile. Looked like the Bruins found out what NJ did after both dominated the Canes in game 1. Probably a close series for the rest of the way. Got to hope those bounces and last second miracle goals don't fall for the Canes again.
  2. That would be Pete (PSB) at http://www.psbsatellite.com
  3. Someone emailed P Sweeney last year about this time and he replied that they were working on it. I think the one year extension was announced in late June or early July.

    Blais

His lack of control of his WJC team, when they started taunting the Canadians in the first period after scoring the first three goals was enough for me. That and his complaining about having "passengers" in their first loss when he had a couple players that didn't see the ice for the entire game.
  5. Alway love the "ignorance" defense. LMAO that my SD signal has been "dumbed down" to make it look bad on an HDTV. That's classic.
  6. Thanks for the info; didn't know that.
  7. Didn't have Center Ice for this season, but had it last season and HD hockey was limited. Just bought the SC Center Ice package two days ago, and the NJ/Carolina game was not in HD (nor is it tonight). All games last night were in HD, however. And, of course, Versus HD is part of the Dish HD package. Seems, so far, at least, all the games have been in HD except for the NJ/Carolina game, which is the one I'm most interested in watching tonight.
  8. Do you have a HDTV, capable of 1080I? You won't tell a lot of difference looking at an HDTV from long distance (like in a bar) as compared to a small CRT on SD signal in your home. The real difference is most easily seen if you get real close to an HD signal on a large screen HDTV; for instance, I like to sit 4-5 feet directly in front of my 46" to watch HD hockey. The quality blows you away. Don't try doing that on the same TV watching an SD signal, it will be unwatchable. SD is much better if you watch on a smaller screen, whether it's CRT or a large screen. But, once you watch HD, it's hard to watch anything else in SD. I regularly look for something to watch, when hockey isn't on, and will usually select something in HD, often over something else I'd rather watch that's in SD.
  9. Hard to believe the number of HD games is so limited.
  10. Don't know about installer in NW MN, but, just remembered, WDAZ had a one year contract with FSSN for last season, so, once again, we'll have to wait and see if WDAZ, or someone else, will do the FSSN telecasts.
  11. Make sure your cable lengths have compression ends, rather than the older type crimped or screw-on ends.
  12. Yes, that would be everything except the rg6 coax cable (would guess you could ask Pete to make up some cable for you if you know the length you need from motor to receiver). Includes dish, lnb, motor, and receiver. You'd also need at least one shorter piece of cable (lnb to motor), and potentially one more piece (receiver to TV, unless you hook up via svideo, and left/right audio).
  13. Guessing that it was Troy Murray, 85-86, with the Blackhawks, 45-54-99
  14. Not that hard, picking a location to mount it and getting the coax cable into the house are the hardest part. Pointing is fairly easy, especially with Pete's help on the visionplus forums. Yes, mine is wall mounted next to my two dishnetwork dishes (one for HD, one for SD). The size of the dish needed for KU band is only slightly larger than the dishnetwork dish. You need an unobstructed view of the southern sky. Mounting on a pole mount in the ground on the south side of your house is the best option, but, if not possible, both wall and roof mounts will work. My dish is a hotdish90 (90cm), but the winegard 80cm in the system packages will work just as well. As for whether you can hook up dish and the KUband system at the same time, yes, depending on your TV inputs. My KU band is connected by svideo and composite audio, while my dishnetwork receiver uses hdmi cable. If you hook both up via coax cable on an old CRT, then, you'd need to unhook one and hook up the other, or use a switch in your line in.
  15. The quality of the feed from satellite is much better than cable, as close as you can get to HD quality without actually being HD. I see the current cost for systems is $190 for a traxis fixed system or $254 for a traxis motorized system, shipped.
  16. I have dishnetwork and a motorized system from PSBsatellite. Check them out below (I'm also in western ND). FSSN televised one road series (at Duluth) this season. The Wisco series was also televised, but the dish had to be moved to point at a different satellite (no problem with motorized).
  17. I'm in ND, and I didn't get the hockey game to replace the lax OT, except a small blip between OT's and time outs (of which there were obviously a multitude). And it did seem that both teams were playing for a tie, which I was hoping could happen, but apparently there are no ties, which makes the play even more strange.
  18. UNH dominated BU the same way the Sioux dominated UNH, although the puck went in better yesterday. Quite a few games like that in this year's NCAAs, with the team carrying the play losing.
  19. I certainly hope the upcoming BSU/Cornell game doesn't get a couple of WCHA buffoons calling the game. That will spell disaster as Cornell will hold and obstruct their way to a 1-0 win.
  20. This will be an unusual frozen four. Seems set up for an easy BU championship, except if everything goes like it has the last two days UNH will win. Sure would be nice to see Bemidji get there today. Maybe the WCHA can do any early acceptance vote and claim them for the tourney.
  21. Cutting down the angle on the point shot, that went way wide and got a fortunate bounce off the end boards out the other side. Sioux have been dominating,; they'll win it in OT.
  22. They need a shootout to end it.
  23. Is that when the lacrosse game finishes?
  24. good and Lax don't belong in the same sentence, will this go on for hours if noone scores?
