Fighting Sioux #1

This crap happens in every program. If Goophie fans want to label our program or players as bad.....they can find my reply UNDER DOUG WOOG's DESK IN A CAP !!!

I've got an 8 year old that will play 38 games this season....only a couple less than the Sioux play. That's ENOUGH attention for me!!!

If anyone is looking for Team USA stuff....I stopped by the Ralph Sports Shop yesterday, and they have everything 50% off or more. Lots of Team USA stuff, and a few Team Canada items. I picked up a Team USA jersey for $35.00 !!

The current theatre would be forced to update and be competitive....or just go away. They deserve it !!

It's not just my co-worker. I talked to a number of out-of-towners at the WJ games. When I asked how they like the arena.....all but one commented on the parking. When you add on the Betty, eliminate some of the existing parking, then have basketball and hockey games at the same time...it only makes the situation worse. My point is....who wants to be the BEST HOCKEY ARENA in the country.....with the WORST PARKING ?!?!?

One would think that the REA would figure out that the biggest complaint about the facility is the parking situation. It IS the biggest gripe I hear from Sioux Hockey attendees. (A co-worker went to their 1st game at REA against Canisus, and will never go back.) Since everything at REA is about the almighty dollar, it's amazing that haven't figured out a way to build a parking ramp and charge $3 - $5 a car and make money. (They probably wait until ticket demand decreases and use it as a marketing tool!)

IF it has anything to do with Sioux Hockey....it's going to cost some $$$$ for those seats!!!

We got a few laughs from some Duluth fans. After Johnson was taken out, and Reichmuth let in the next goal, we started the..... "Where's your JOHNSON ?!?!" chant.

EVEN WORSE......in Duluth....when they get back to full strength after a penalty.....the PA guys says..... "Duluth.....FULL STRENGTH" ....and the UMD students say......"ALWAYS WERE" SOOOOOOOOOOOOO LAME !!!!!!!!!!!!

While in Duluth for last weekends games, I was sitting at a bar near the DECC having a few adult beverages. Sitting next to us were 3 Duluth fans. We had a great conversation about college hockey, but one comment they made surprised me. All three said that Gopher fans were WAY BETTER than Badger fans. (A thread within itself.) They went on to state that Gopher fans were more knowledgeable about the game (which I agree), and that Badger fans were totally stupid....starting a SIEVE chant even when their Bulldog goalie makes a great save. About an hour later.....at the game....the Duluth student section starts the SIEVE chant when Parise makes a couple of great saves.......hmmmmmmmm......TOO FUNNY !!!!

There will be a bunch of Sioux fans in Duluth. We have a group that makes the road trip every year. Looks like about 16 will make the trip this year, coming from Minneapolis, Fargo, and GF.

I am a Hennen fan....and I agree that it is not the same when he is not there. One gripe.....I LUV the "RRRRRRRRRRRoughing" I can't stand the "SCHLLLLLLashing" !!!
