I'll admit the DC kinda worries me, but with Entz at the helm helps me relieve that worry. As for the recruiting coordinator, you go and try recruit kids to Jamestown, ND. LOL

I would say Jamestown is a hell of a lot more desirable than Valley City and if my small school knowledge is correct, VCSU kicked the !@#$ out of them every year he was there. Maybe you guys were looking at the wrong NAIA or whatever it is called..............

Did you think that Klieman was an upgrade in head coach at the time? As a likeable guy, I think many would agree, but to say he was an upgrade when he took the position seems like 20/20 vision in retrospect.

Klieman at the time had only been a head coach for one season at a Divison III school and they went 3-7. Not exactly a track record that screams upgrade from a guy who had just won three national championships as a head coach and finished what many consider to be the most successful transition from DII to I-AA/I-FCS ever.

Oh I had no idea at the time. Looking back on it, like you said, its obvious now. The best gig Bohl could land was Wyoming, not exactly a dream job. Klieman landing a head job at K State is truly impressive, even though that is a brutal spot right now. From my few meetings and scheme talks with Klieman a have a ton of respect for him and wish him the best. Entz is a very very different guy and coach, so it will be interesting, not saying it will be bad or good.

I heard the same spewing from people like you after '13. That coaching change didn't really change much, did it?

People like me? You have no idea who I am. Klieman was an upgrade from Bohl. Bohl is a weasel, who is current showing at Wyoming he is an average coach. Don’t say they will be dominant with three new starters with a new coach who was about to get canned at Rutgers.

Slight dropoff from '18, but still dominate as always.

How can you say that? They lose their coach and three starters. You have no idea. Do you attend practice?

The Oline returns 3 starters. Plus the back ups get playing time due to intermittent rotation.  Th D-line  rotates alot.

Who are the three? I counted two when I looked at the Depth chart. They lose Bacon, Conner, and Volson. Last time I checked you only start five OL and 5-3=2. Thats my public school math kickin in.

What makes you think that NDSU doesn’t have the Rams to reload like they always do? They haven’t stopped recruiting the position and it’s been the strength of the team every year since the 80’s basically.

At one point every single star NDSU has ever had on the O line was unproven. I expect the O line to continue to be the strength of the team given the team’s commitment to recruiting and developing those five positions specifically.

I've sat down and chalk talked with Coach Riley 3 or 4 times and he impressed the hell out of me. NDSU's strength next year will be the QB. Very impressed by Lance.

Sincerely, you seem to be pretty knowledgeable about football.

Out of curiosity, what is your opinion about this change of regime at NDSU and why you feel it is going to be more challenging than the 2013/2014 regime change?

To me, it could go either way, as any coaching and QB change can, but I’m just curious if it’s something specific you’re seeing that suggests this changeover won’t go as smooth as the last one.

I think that this change of regime will be tougher, due to the loss of twenty some high quality seniors. I still think NDSU is dominate and makes the playoffs, but for some reason I feel as though they will be knocked off next year. I do think Klieman had a better crop overall to begin with than what Entz is taking over. However, there are still some extremely high quality athletes at NDSU. Cox is probably the best defensive player they have had during this entire run as far a complete player goes. Also, I will say now that Trey Lance will be overall better than stick. I do think the most pressure next year is on the new OL coach, who I am not sold on. I think they graduated 4-5 decent OL and without a killer OL. That NDSU offense is rather average. That's just my take on it all. All in all, NDSU will still be very competitive

A lot of people said the same thing when Wentz went down in '15, and look what happened. I ain't worried.

Well that's good. Teams who are worried are teams that underestimate others and get knocked off. I'm not too worried about NDSU taking it all next year.

At least youre honest and I agree with your assessment except for us losing a player for the natty giving you an edge.  You need better players and coaching. But if you think us losing a player is what its going to take for you to turn the corner you might want to reevaluate . In the short term Im sure it makes you feel better.:)

First of all, that player is done at NDSU. He lost his entire senior year and was on his way to being a three year starter, so that will give any team you play an edge. I never said that NDSU losing a fullback would instantly make UND a better team and turn a corner. That's insane. I think what will help UND turn the corner is the new coaches, recruiting, and NDSU will eventually come back down to earth.

Considering that thread was started by a UND fan I dont see how your comment is relevant. But if you dont want to answer the question? All righty then.:)

I'll answer the question for you then. If this was a UND player, let's say our starting Fullback. NDSU would be allllllll over this. That's what rivals do. Look at any rivalry. They want any dirt on the opposing team that they can find. Gosh look down to even VCSU vs JC. Literally the lowest level of college football and that rivalry is even hot and heavy. Now on a D1 level with both teams soon to play each other YEARLY! Both team are putting each other under the microscope more than ever and their deprived fans have the right to do the same. NDSU has been incredibly successful lately and that is great for them. They earned it. UND is hungry for the success, being only 70 short miles away, so ya it does concern them. Everything NDSU does concerns UND football. They want any edge they can get. If that edge is NDSU players getting suspended their senior year for doing something illegal, well sucks to suck.

(Also, this is the same kid who lost his scholarship for boozing too much in high school, even before he stepped foot on campus.)

You can bet that SU "Mom" is getting talked to by some Bizon zealots and she will stop talking.

That SU Mom is one of the Bizon zealots. I believe she was a standout bball player for them back when they were damn near unstoppable.......

As you seem to be aware though, it isn’t always readily available what ingredients are actually in supplements as it is an poorly regulated industry. That said, it’s a player’s responsibility if it goes in his body. My only point is to say that it’s very possible that he had no idea the banned stimulant was even in the supplement.

Quite honestly, the ncaa has made it so you shouldn’t be taking any supplements besides what your trainer says.

  13. It was a banned preworkout supplement. There is a high amount of caffeine and other stimulants in most preworkouts. So it's not like the guy was on steroids, but as I stated earlier it is up to the coaches and trainers of the programs to tell dudes what to put in their bodies and what not to.

Ive got a thing against rumor and innuendo.  Very poor retort on your part.

Well for crying out loud. Your OC has negative accusations against him right now by far more than just me and you are constantly so upset by them. I remember you telling me to "answer carefully" a week or two ago. Threats on a message board!! A UND football message board none the less!

No one is saying he is a terrible coach or person. It's speculation. Speculation that even NDSU will admit. Get over it.

  15. I'm guessing NDSU tried to keep it hush hush more from a game planning aspect. Robbins is a versatile fullback teams have to prepare for as that isn't something you see everyday. NDSU is smart enough to know that is EWU assumed Robbins was playing they would spend sometime preparing for him, in that wasting time preparing for something they weren't going to see.

Something you are familiar with I take it?

Well I don't know many doctors you can walk in to "Ya I need something to help my numbers in the weight room, so I can perform better on Saturday. Can you help me doc?"

I do know that about half of the population these days are on anti anxiety, anti-depressants, ADHD meds, ADD meds, etc.

How do you get anything illegal? You know the right people who can get you the right things.

Those are the facts man. Maybe in 1973 things were different.

But heard that AG’s infraction may have had more to do with using something that other non-athlete students unfortunately use all time to help them be more alert and stay up longer during finals week.

Oh silly me. I was thinking he was talking about speed. But I guess you could get a script for thats also but apparently he didnt.:whistling::lol:

Just like you can get a script for performance enhancing drugs for the weight room? Oh wait..........

Mcfeeley doesnt care. If there was a story he would have been all over it.

You are really that delusional huh? The last thing the Fargo media wants to put out is negative news on the most valuable asset in the town and, currently athletic wise, in the state.
