I view Nolan Zajac's lack of a commitment to speak volumes. I suspect, but do not know that he's is waiting to see if a spot may be available as a 1/4 scholie or recruited walk on. The issue is that we continue to be loaded at D, most needs will continue to be F.

Interesting results this week. This week in basically non-conference play Michigan Tech is 0-2. Thus far the rest of the WCHA is 10-1. Hockey East is as weak as I have seen it in 20 years. The CCHA is definately down with Michigan and ND really struggling. KRACH has 6 WCHA teams in the top 7. The Sioux can pretty much punch their NCAA tickets with wins over ND and Cornell.

Anyone watch the Minnetonka / Blaine game. Gardiner and Minnetonka looked unstoppable. It looks like the Gophers have some real players in Bjugstad and Holl. What amazed me was the freshman Coda who played on the Minnetonka top line. If that kid gets some size he will be a top flight player.

Wisconsin is clearly the better team thus far...

The call on MacWilliam was a good call, but unlucky. He lined his guy up for a legal hip check, but the puck was intercepted so he hip checked a guy who never got the puck.

Way to go out on a limb. May I also suggest that January may be cold in Grand Forks.

If anyone has a recording of the game, it would be great to see the hit on Olsen again. Basically Olsen was carrying the puck through center along the boards and MacWilliam got him with a perfect hip check and flipped him completely over. Blood also had a great hip check, very effective, but with out the highlight flip. MacWilliam and Blood look like Smaby did his last year. Feinhage also looked very good, as did the others. 6' Marto and Gleason look like children when standing next to these folks.

Also Cichy was out. The Bruneteau Knight Rowney thing looked good, though those last two could use a little 2-1 practice.

Just back from the game. My little girl had a blast. I was surprised how good Bordson was, you hear about Fontain and Connolly, but he was every bit as good. Dylan Olson did not stand out at all. For the Sioux, I think the won about 45 minutes. MacWilliam was brilliant, holding the line a couple of time on the big PK at the end and hip checked a bulldog head over heels at center ice as well. Somebody will need to make a video of that. Fienhage was also great. UNDs D looked as strong as I have ever seen it. Blood also ran over some dogs. I think we will see a different goalie for UMD tomorrow, this guy was shaky at best.
