Not competitive, embarrassing to watch.

You would think the CUSA invite would have to be an all sports or none, right? I wouldn't think they would have any interest in a Football only affiliate. Is it sort of a forgone conclusion that IF NDSU was looking for someone to come along for a potential CUSA ride that it would be SDSU? This trickle down is getting very, very interesting. Is there real appeal to be apart of this version of CUSA? Edit: Football affiliate would be on the table for some teams, not all, but some.

By far my favorite lines this year.

Bowen is the last remaining member of the weirdest group of recruits I've ever seen. By group I mean, guys that committed around the same time. You had this collection of guys that all started playing Juniors the same year (I believe) or within a year of each other as Juniors in HS. You don't play USHL / BCHL as a Junior unless you are extremely highly skilled. Reid / Mancinelli / Rizzo / Halliday / Bowen. I don't think I'm missing anyone. Miller, but that's another situation all together. They all had for their age, really solid years. The expectation was that year 2, their draft years that they would all sky rocket. None of them did. Bowen is the only one that's still committed. What's odd about him is his draft year, he had a pretty solid start, but got injured. Since then, his numbers are solid, but he's seemed to have plateaued.

Must split weekend. Hopefully they win on Friday and take some of the pressure off. So far this year, they've very much looked like a team that has 14 new players. You can see the talent, hopefully they start to mesh sooner than later.

I'm not following the negative reaction to the CSS ratings at all. I've always found the 3rd to 5th rounds to be the sweet spot. More likely to get those really solid players that will be 3 year guys. 6 of the 7 are rated. I don't get how there's a negative spin to that.

Central Scouting released their preliminary rankings. No recruits with A or B ratings. C Rating: Ausmus Dunbar James Livanavage Singleton Spicer I believe the only first year eligible recruit that is not listed is Panzer. Other notes committed recruits. 3 Drafted (Benoit, Blake, Bowen) 2 Not Drafted, 2nd Year eligible. (Hedquist, Strinden) 4 Not Eligible (Klee, Perron, Slipec, Strathmann)

One week at a time. Just win. Being a must win, this might sound a little backwards, but I do think you have to bet on who you have that's healthy. What I mean is sit anyone who has nagging injuries, 50/50, even 75/25 guys.

The more I thought about it, the more I like it. Love the 55/45 split. Maybe it says something about my personality, like the lower stakes.

Correct. Far from 20/20, I don’t want this to sound dramatic, but I do think it was the worse 3 v 3 decision I’ve ever seen. Only a few years of data, but it was that bad.

I think this offense up until 2nd Quarter (Q drive) has been unexplainably / explainably bad. Let me try to explain what I mean. I don't think they could have played any worse, but so much of it is very (or should be) fixable, explainable issues. Penalties (specifically offsides). Drops, @Oxbow6 is correct, they dropped 3 TD's over the past two games. It's not like they couldn't move the ball, just never with short fields. That's sort of the unexplainable, it's just these bizarre situational things. Not getting points the last two weekends after blocked punts setting them up. WR's don't drop a lot of balls, but when they do they are for what would be TD's. Offsides on 3rd and short, leading to 3rd and medium, then being a yard short. I do believe in the talent. I just think there's little things that have snowballed into what we've seen. -

So was yesterday a case of SIU’s run stopping defense being awful? UND turning the corner O-Line wise? Starting w/ Q switch up, the offense looked good. Tommy too. Still important drops, situational struggles (ex: after blocked punt), but night and day better than what we’ve seen the past few years. Someone said it yesterday, but I also think the win out going into the SDSU game. Then it’s win and they are in for the playoffs. -
Moore after a very rough start looked great the second half of the game. Big fan of Jamerniks game, what a jump from last year.

I just read 55 / 45. Getting to OT was huge.
-
Realizing the new OT rules helps with the sting, but still. I’ve watched a decent amount of 3v3 and Sandersons play was the most baffled I’ve been.
-
I cannot believe he did that. I can’t believe anyone would do that.
-
Why would Sanderson take that shot?
-
Only way for Bemidji to guarantee a win is to keep giving UND power plays.

Simply saying this was never a winnable game. It’s ok. Hopefully we’ll see some positive signs they can take moving forward. -

Yikes, bit of an overreaction. Borderline bizarre. You ok? -

With those guys this game wouldn’t be winnable. -
Hope they keep racking up those non-conference wins!

Yes, much appreciated!

Johnson has looked every bit of a true freshman. Taking his lumps now, will be fun to watch him progress.
