  1. I feel great about this weekend, Jost back, Boeser can't be held down for any longer. 5-2 Hawks tonight.
  2. This made me laugh. It's embarrassing, I couldn't imagine how unbelievably frustrating it would be to be Kennedy.
  3. <Insert Sicatoka's response> Not all on Kennedy, but I get it. I don't think you'll find a single person that disagree w/ your take on the begging publicly for their sports. That was awful and should have never happened. I'm sticking with my theory that it has more to do with this causing Anti-Women's hockey sentiment. Could be wrong, but have really been rubbed the wrong way for the past while by him.
  4. Love the guy in the stands giving the refs the business, "for crying out loud!"
  5. Tough playing on the road, but they need this one (as well as UNC), need to be able to beat the lower half of the league, no matter where you play them. Excited for this game.
  6. Brad is a puppet for the hockey programs, then tries to be a bad ass when it comes to Kennedy. I do think it has everything to do with Women's hockey, very touchy subject with him. Edit: I get it though, you get invested in something, it's easy to get defensive and not look at a situation clearly.
  7. $1.3 million is a pretty sizable chunk. I'd say Women's Hockey is going to be looked at very, very closely.

    2017 Season

https://siouxfb.areavoices.com/2017/02/16/spring-ball-right-around-the-corner/ Love the way they talk about this RS Freshman class.
  9. I still think it's a pretty big stretch to think UMD leaving would truly have any impact on UND, basically at all. I think you may be overestimating the rivalry. It's a good one, but really no different than St. Cloud or Omaha for that matter. I agree that the casual fan would be more excited about the Big 10 matchups over the NCHC ones.
  10. No, but that wasn't my argument. If I were to chose to either have Duluth or Mankato in UND's conference, it would be Duluth. Duluth is a stronger program than Mankato, but it wouldn't make a difference financially to UND. They would sell the same amount of tickets regardless. Also, we are talking one hockey series at home a year. So, I'm with you that Duluth is a stronger program, but it also wouldn't really affect anything to do with the conference if it were to happen.
  11. Think you are giving UMD way too much credit. They are a strong program, but I don't think if you swap them out for Mankato it really makes a difference at all. Honestly, outside of UND, I don't think there's one single NCHC program that really matters to the stability of the league if they were to leave. I'm only saying UND, because without them, the conference tourney would be a complete bust.
  12. To add to this, lets answer some questions. Do you believe that the Big 10 will stay at 7 teams? Yes / No If No, do you believe another Big 10 school will add a hockey team? Yes / No If you answer no to those first two questions, then it goes to who. There's no P5 school that would make sense (i.e. BC wouldn't leave Hockey East). You have Arizona State, but are they really an attractive option? With what is left, UND makes more sense than anybody else (i.e. Duluth, Omaha). I have no idea if it'll happen, but given that they most likely wouldn't want to stay at 7, it'd make sense to me.
  13. The way I look at it, I'd take Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin >>> DU, UMD, St. Cloud -- the rest in both conferences would be comparable from a "hype" standpoint. Like others have said, if it makes sense financially and there is an offer, I'd hope UND would take it.
  14. Agreed
  15. Switch out Simo and Olson for Hoff and Wilkie and I really like it.
  16. Problem is in all reality, Pogo and Gardner are the 4th and 5th option for scoring on this team. Need them to step up.
  17. I'd be all in for Nashville and more than likely LA. After Omaha, I won't be attending anymore outdoor games, not fun at all.
  18. That's fair and is basically what the UND officials, I mean Schlossman wrote. I just hope they truly exhausted all options on gaging fan interest before they made the call. It's over and I guess I don't know what I'd expect them to say. I'm sure there is some anger internally (duh) about this, but it's over.
  19. I truly believe this week off is going to change the trajectory of the season and I couldn't be more optimistic. UND was in a funk like I haven't seen in a long time in the last 6. Nothing was going in for them, nothing. On the other end, unlucky / fluke goals by the other team. They get to rest up, get Jost back, I think this team is going on a run. Like others have said, I think this team is just as talented as anyone else. I like them in any game, just got to get to Fargo! Think they sweep this weekend.
  20. I couldn't tell if this was written by Schlossman or the UND officials who made the decision. It reads like someone who is defending why they made a decision (that was wrong) to their boss. "At this time, officials didn’t have a lot of things to reference when guessing potential attendance." I get this and hindsight is 20/20, but to me it comes down to did they do everything they could to try to gage interest. This includes reaching out to Championship Club members, ect. "They weren’t sure with T-Mobile. In the end, they have acknowledged that they feel bad that there are some fans who wanted to attend but won’t be able to. But they are excited about the event being a slam dunk." I guess my reaction would be a little different if I was responsible for leaving $500K on the table, but that's me.
