This is as important to the short term future and potentially long term future of the UND football program as the changes at OC and OL. As stubborn as Bubba has been accepting change which has ultimately really hurt this team offensively, it might finally have clicked. We'll see how this plays out, but if the right hires are made and the reigns are actually given to the new OC, this could potentially really move this program into the right direction. Not that the talent level doesn't have to increase, because it does, but this team definitely had the talent to be a playoff team this year. In fact the playoffs were almost a certainty until the wheels completely fell off offensively starting the second half against Idaho. I'm very excited to get a fresh pair of eyes especially evaluating the QB position. There's a lot of talent returning on both sides of the ball.

I'm trying to better ride out of the waves of the season, especially when it comes to weekends like the last two. Even when looking at the last two, Saturday was definitely an outlier. This is a team that is great defensively and has strong goaltending. That *should* keep them in every game this year. In fact, what we've seen is outside of the Mankato series and Saturday night against Western (outlier), this team has always looked stronger than its opponent. Offensively, overall its been a disaster. Trying to take emotion out of it, it just can't continue to be as bad as its been. Moving forward, there's still more than enough time to right the ship. It starts this weekend against UAA, the good news is they've actually faired ok out of conference and if they win their remaining four (they should), then they'll finish with a nice out conference record.

It's not surprising, but at the same point it's terrifying to everyone who loves this program.

This has been my sentiment from the beginning of the year. I said this earlier today, but I'll repeat it, I will think less of Bubba when he uses them as scapegoats after this year. He really has done this football program a disservice.

This obviously isn't an option, but if the choice was between (1) Firing Bubba - keeping everyone else (2) Firing Rudolph / Kostich, I would choice 1 every day of the week. I genuinely believe Bubba is the biggest problem.

It would be a start, but improve drastically, absolutely not. It starts at the top unfortunately, Bubba could have the best OC coach in the country and he'd ruin him.

I would put the Idaho game in the average category, the last two weeks have been unwatchable. The main difference is as bad as they were the last two games, the offense didn't actually lose the game against PSU like they did against NAU. I would have taken any offense in the country today over ours.

Some might disagree, but this season is 95/5 on the coaches to me.

Posted this in the game thread, but this is probably the better place for it. Chaves needs to find the money now to buy out Bubba's contract. He can't be the head coach next year. The bleeding needs to stop now, I genuinely fear what the MVFC would do to UND with Bubba in charge.

This can't happen, Chaves needs to be on the phone now finding money. You think it's bad now, once 2020 comes UND will be the laughing stock of the MVFC if Bubba is still the coach.

Wouldn't be good enough. In fact it would make me think less of Bubba. He sailed this ship directly into the rocks, everything should fall on him.

This entire coaching staff needs to be gone if this University cares at all about football.

I'm done with this program until Bubba is gone.

This QB situation is SO UND. The grass isn't always greener I guess, this team would be so much better with Studs over Kett.

Wonder how much of the fan base Bubba will lose after this one?
