I think in a vacuum these are great moments for fans of both teams. At the end of the day (and I think you'd agree) winning a national championship is the ultimate goal for programs like North Dakota and Minnesota. Don't get me wrong I'm happy with the run we've been on recently, but I would of liked some more of those frozen fours to go our way. The Porter goal and the 0.6 game lose something for me personally with the let down of still ending the year with a loss. It's also different in the moment as opposed to looking back on these games years later. I'm probably rambling, but look at Golden State's season last year. I'm sure they would've been happy to lose 10 more games and win the title. It will also prevent them from being talked about as the GOAT because they didn't seal the deal.

From your point of view as gopher fan? Or from my point of view? From my point of view it was an awesome goal. Beating the gophers wasn't the ultimate goal though, so it sucks that we came up short. Still happy to beat the gophers.

0.6 would've been way worse had they gone on to win it all. Since they were unable to seal the deal it doesn't bother me nearly as much.

Football may very well be the ultimate team game. I'm sure everyone knows they need to step up and play well for their injured QB. And for the QB who starts, it's a chance to step up and show what you can do.

I think the hardest transition from level to level is D. Look at Shaw, he got a lot of flack on here last year, but I think he looks much better this year. Wolanin looks better to me as well. That's why I think 2 years from now our D should be really good again depending on early departures.

Last year was 4 jrs 1 very good so and 1 fr when healthy. This year 1 sr 1 jr 2 so 2 fr when healthy. We might be 2 years away from having another very good d-corps. By that time Tomek would be a senior and I'm hoping that team will be much like last years. In the meantime we fans are going to have to try to be patient and hope the learning curve isn't too steep.

You don't have to go that far back, just ask Wehrs. I miss that style of play.

If refs are never held accountable for the bs calls they make this is the kind of hockey we will be watching.

With a week of practice knowing that he might be the starter instead of just being thrown in there in a tight spot maybe Brad will prove to be very capable. You already know what Bartels will give you so why not put Brad in and see what he's got. Sometimes guys come out of nowhere to surprise you.
